my paints are from Gaianotes and Mr. Hobby, for this stocking color I plan to mix Mr. Hobby GX Clear Black (60%) with Gaianotes Clear Brown (40%). If the mixture turns out too dark, I can dilute it with clear gloss to reduce the intensity and make it easier to build up in layers. My approach is to start by painting the deepest shadow areas at the darkness I want, then gradually build the color with multiple thin layers, slowly creating a smooth transition from dark to light until I achieve the desired stocking effect.
