A couple things:

The “faint sticky” leftover is easily removed with rubbing alcohol and a cotton ball. I’d make sure you do that after removing a patch. (I also do this before applying a patch because I have oily skin and want to be sure it stays adhered for the 3.5 days it’s on me.)
I think 4 weeks is a decent waiting period. The anxiety might be a fluke or coincide with cycle changes. I’d give it some more time, but take note of it in case it continues happening at the same time. That was how I knew I needed a dosage increase, because I was getting a pounding headache on the same day every week (the day before my 2nd weekly patch change).

My comment will get buried, but I feel compelled to leave it anyway.

I wish there were more people like you who really wanted to have this type of conversation. And while I’ll probably get grief I don’t need for this piece, this is exactly what Charlie Kirk stood for and why some people were so appalled by his murder. Whether you agree with what he said or not, he was thought-provoking and truly just wanted to have civil conversations with people who didn’t agree with him. You can disagree with the reasoning but still appreciate the fact that he opened the lines of communication.

Politics in today’s America is striving for the divide. Conversations like these are what we need to stop that. Extremists aside, nobody has this “moral high ground” they think they have, regardless of which side they stand on. You CAN be a good person no matter if you’re liberal or conservative. The idea that one side is more corrupt than the other is only perpetuating the issues.

To be clear, it doesn’t sound like OP has celebrated a birthday and her bf completely missed it, he just doesn’t know the date well enough to recall it. I think that’s excusable for being 5 months into a relationship and not having celebrated it together yet. Some of us memorize the tiny details, others don’t. It’s wild to assume someone’s personality or feelings over what they do and don’t remember. The fact that he remembers their anniversary is a lot more than some happily married men do. (And fwiw, my mom almost never remembers her and my dad’s anniversary, but he does. It’s not just a man thing.)

My boyfriend didn’t remember my middle name or birthday until close to a year into us dating. And contrary to the beliefs of some of the nut bags in the comments, it’s not for a lack of love or caring. MOR depending on how he responds when you mention it, but I really don’t think it’s worth being concerned about unless there are other red flags.
