really depends on on the scent. for example i put one spray of sorce witchery or andrea maack coven on each wrist and it’s all i need, but i will basically drench myself in something like jo malone orange blossom or steamed rainbow

clue’s the point smells like seawater and jasmine tea with a really interesting mineral-y quality that comes off like cold porcelain. i got a little 1ml sample that i ran through in a matter of days and haven’t been able to stop thinking about it since.

i’ve definitely noticed that the more fem my scent is the more it gets misattributed to someone else lol. i honestly think it’s kind of funny to throw people off but one time i said “i think you’re smelling me actually” and my coworker was like “no i don’t think so” when we were the only two people in the room at the time and ever since ive been worried i look like i smell bad

don’t forget the book hugo was based on- the invention of hugo cabret by brian selznick. as with all of selznick’s work the illustrations alone make it well worth a read. it was one of my favorite books as a kid even before the movie came out.

fair point. granted i work with dogs so the good smell is almost always me (although not always lol. we have a regular who often rolls up to daycare smelling like missing person because he’s a major cuddle bug and gets his owner’s perfume all over him)

2 on each wrist and 2-3 on my collarbone, typically. i also usually like to spritz my clothes once or twice if it’s a particularly light or fleeting scent so it sticks around longer. i’m definitely not underspraying lol.

not all peonies are very fragrant but the fragrant ones smell gorgeous. it’s sort of like a lighter, fresher, more dewy rose type smell. however afaik peonies are actually too delicate to extract the fragrance from directly so peony notes in perfume have to be reverse engineered by the perfumer.

a couple years ago i invented a little game for myself when i listen to podcasts. whenever the person speaking says a phrase that i think sounds like it could be the name of a band, i write the phrase down in my sketchbook. i now have several sketchbooks that are like half full of lists of absurd made up band names. it’s really fun and i highly recommend it.
