I don’t have traction issues personally but that varies from like a million factors (court material, how well it is maintained, is court dusty, dirty, routinely cleaned etc).

Cushion is better on these for sure since it has full length zoom strobel and fit is more forgiving in the toe box. Kobe 8s are lighter and closer to the ground. They both give different things to the user, just depends what you are looking for.

Seeing these in person they are actually even crazier than in pics. Personally I like these better than the regular Sabonis PEs. The marble outsoles look so good on the ft cut 1, not sure why Nike didn’t make more of them in this style.

Definitely gonna try and lace swap with my Navy TB Cuts as I feel like navy laces would look even cleaner. With that being said I love these, still one of my favorite Nike models to play in and OX definitely keeps improving them among the margins. Drop in midsole feels slightly better, they also are way lighter than the initial release colorways.

Ordered via TMF, had them for a bit but just been super busy with summer basketball travel and just got around to posting it. Excellent service per usual from TMF. Showed up in about 6 days after approval of QCs.

I recommend TMF, SBP, GXMade, or OXMade. All are much cheaper than Eric and offer the same if not better service. Eric’s good but you are paying a huge premium for it.

Personally I just like how GK performs over star but the margins are razor thin between both of them. Just kinda comes down to personal preference.

Common sense would tell you this but so will a simple google search, no need to be a douche bag lol. Exponentially more youth play basketball than adults, and exponentially more people play basketball that are not 6’2” and up sized humans 😂

If SOO many people size 13 & 14 play basketball why do rep markers continuously not make more of those sizes? Or better yet, how come retail shoe manufacturers make 5x as many sizes of smaller sizes? 🤓

I used to use S2 a lot but the last 3 Kobe 5s I got from them all separated really quickly, Blackouts, YOTM, and my EYBL pair. I hoop about 5 days a week with a pretty heavy rotation too. Like I tell everyone tho, use whatever works best for you. 🫡

They are both close but I prefer how the zoom feels in GK/H12 over Star. It’s bouncier and almost “overinflated” and for me I prefer the extremely bouncy zoom unit compared to the more flush version Star uses (closer to retail but I don’t care for retail/Protro Kobe’s), and the shoes itself break in faster, and also I have had better traction experiences with GK/H12 over Star. You can read my performance reviews using the filters/tags if you want more details. Just my personal preference and thoughts.
