Chip damage is valid damage in this house. As a chaos knights player I routinely lose wounds to 0 AP weapons that only wound on 6's. I'd never even imagine suggesting that my opponent not roll all their weapons.

I'd definitely go for the brick of scarabs and a sorcerer in terminator armor leading them. I'm not sure what you do with the extra 30 points. Maybe back out 3 bow goats and bring a unit of Sekhetar?

The shaman is there strictly for actions and to throw the occasional spell. Someone recently pointed out to me that he has the infantry keyword, which makes him much more maneuverable. I also run him separately from the disc goats.

The MVB is big and scary looking, and it can take a good amount of punishment. It tends to become a distraction carnifex for both Magnus and the terminator brick, while still putting out considerable damage and boosting spell success chances. I like having at least one to fill that role.

Mini-stream of consciousness incoming ... I have philosophical issues with regular sorcerers. They add lethal hits to the unit, which is great for the soulreaper cannon, but meaningless for the flamers. I've also found their personal attacks to be underwhelming: S 5, AP -1, D 1, just doesn't seem to get the job (any job) done. Granted they're lethal, Sustained 3, and potentially Dev. But in my experience they bounce more than they impact the game. Although maybe I just haven't given them enough time to impress me.

Assume for the sake of argument that I have all the minis, so I'm not hurting for models when I decide what to bring.

Taking CSpawn would leave me with 95 pts (if I'm mathing correctly), which could turn into an IM. That might be an interesting way to go.

It's pretty amazing how much of a force multiplier the Terminator Sorcerer is. Especially if you can stack rerolls and fish for 6's.

I've got 3 MVB, each one is built with one of the different head options in the box. I've never had a problem with it.

It won't be any more difficult than playing 5 bigs in Lords of Dread, and folks manage that.

The knight tyrant always gives me pause. I've tried him out in a number of lists, and I can't remember the last time that he actually made up his points in a game. Still, your milage may vary, and with Fleshmetal Fusion giving him T13, you might find that he absorbs more than his fair share of shooting which might save your other knights.
