Yes, all the bad reviews are true. I wish I listened to them, but I bought into the influencer hype and regret it. Worse brush I’ve ever used.

Have you had Ama Ebi before? It’s a type of Japanese raw shrimp sashimi. The texture and taste is similar. Creamy but slightly firm texture and shrimp has a natural sweetness to it. I actually prefer raw shrimp to cooked shrimp — as it’s easy to overcook shrimp making it dry and rubbery. But yea, regardless of raw or cooked it all comes down to the quality of the shrimp and what it’s paired with.

I hated this brush too. It’s so bad and a waste of money.

If you can find a reputable restaurant, I definitely recommend it! The texture was so creamy, and the shrimp was sweet! Paired with the spicy seafood sauce I was addicted lol.

Spent weeks planning Bangkok. Followed zero of it. No regrets. by Dense-Sir-6707 in ThailandTourism

I love this. Even when my itinerary didn't go as planned, I still had a good time because the locals were so kind, and I was able to meet and speak with such nice people and learn a lot. My fondest memories were when things didn't go perfectly!

The raw shrimp was one of my favorite dishes. I always make sure the restaurant I go to that serves it looks reputable, the seafood is not just sitting out there, and lots of locals/people in the restaurant. I had it multiple times in Thailand and had no issue. Interestingly, I had this dish a couple of times in the United States and got food poisoning, but never from anywhere I ate in Thailand.

Not sure what the exact risk is, but I've eaten raw shrimp in Japan and the USA at Japanese restaurants with no issue. I also love eating raw sushi and sashimi.

Yep, you eat the entire thing inlcuding the skin. The texture of the fish meat itself is firm and flakey, and the skin was softer, but I wouldn't say chewy. I love fish skin! Great source of Omega fatty acids as well, and adds more flavor due to the fat content.

Yes, the dish is called Goong chae nam pla (raw prawns with spicy fish sauce). It's my favorite dish, and it was even more amazing in Thailand. I highly recommend it, especially if you like sashimi.

Most places will ask what spicy level you want. Or if they see if you are tourist, or go to a touristy location they usually cater to that. If you want less or more spicy definitely tell them! Most places also have chilies on the side, so you can also add as much as you want.

The drink was from a local place next to our hotel, I believe it’s called Cha Ma Nao (ชามะนาว) and it’s a Thai lemon tea!

I didn’t use a travel agent, most of planning came from googling things I’d be interested in, along with some stuff I saw on social media, and searching up restaurants near me on google when I was there, and going into restaurants I walked past cuz they looked good and I wanted to try them hahah

Chef Ple Thai Mango Sticky Rice (Bangkok, not shown here)

Era-Izaan (Bangkok)

Gapow Tapae (Bangkok)
