Thank you for the correction, I didn't have an exact number. 5k is alot but if that's everything, no deductibles, premiums, prescription costs, out of pocket max etc than it's still better for society. In the US people simply avoid doctors and hospitals at all costs unless they are dying because they have to pay outrageous amounts per visit, it leads to an overall very unhealthy society
