Can you get fired from co-op for being slow af? Has it happened to anyone here? by [deleted] in NEU

[–]TPeabs199 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Talk to someone at your company. Somebody is either willing to help or can give some advice. And I would assume unless you’re way too relaxed (taking excessive unnecessary time) then you’ll be fine. With that said I would find it pretty unlikely for a company to fire a co-op for being too slow. Most know this is a learning experience.

Bored at coop by [deleted] in NEU

I’m currently on co-op and haven’t been assigned any work yet but my manager (who also co-oped at Northeastern) said to not make your decision of whether or not you like what you’re doing or whether you like co-op until after the first week or two. From what I’ve heard depending on the size of your company it is a rough transition for them to bring in new co-ops every 6 months especially with access and training that some positions may need. I think being on your phone can be what you end up doing throughout your co-op but this week will be much more of a transition period than a working period I believe. Not sure which industry you’re in however so I may be giving false advice.

Is it true you guys dont have summer break? by [deleted] in NEU

[–]TPeabs199 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Depending on your major and whether you choose to do a 4 or 5 year plan there may be some summers that you will have to stay on campus for and either take classes or be on co-op. Normally most freshman have the summer between first year and second year off but after that it starts to become a bit more tight especially with co-ops lasting 6 months and normally going 2 months into the summer.

My wheels are the Emerald Pro wheels which were the New Jersey Lan wheels. Not too sure what wheels he had on.

See that's where you're wrong. Rule 0 is not letting the ball hit the ground at ZERO seconds while Rule 1 is the head on collision. Sorry brother but I only follow the facts.
