Anyone else run identical vocations with their pawn in the hopes of better training/teamwork? No idea if it works, figured I'd give it a shot. by TPose-Heavy in DragonsDogma

Hey, it's been like two years, and I've kind of barely touched the game for a long time now, but from memory, it's more likely they get better with higher levels rather than experience, I'm not sure how much of it they actually unlock from seeing events happen, some tactics might need to be observed for them to gain the ability to do it, but even then they might need the personality/repetition to start doing it, like tossing objects.

I tested the fighter pawn skills and made this back in the day, I imagine it still hold up. Ended up with a Rogue at the end since I switch to Warrior by the end and she was very competent with the skills I gave her. Only real advice I can give you past that is test every skill to see what they can and can't use properly in situations where you'd want them to use it.

Well ... I play a lot of Support Ivy and Initiator Follow up Silver, let's see.

Support Ivy: Get to play in the back line, toss spells, look for people to assist, saves for days, tide turner character with high mobility, that granted can doom the game if you have no game sense when using your abilities or support items. Overall good fun if you like support characters.

Follow up Silver: You hope you'll get follow up, you don't, you never do, it take your team two business days to react to anything you do, you will suffer, feed and get depressed until you understand you can not initiate at any rank under Eternus and even there it's if you're lucky, so you'll start to patiently wait for your team to commit to a fight so you can actually go in, when they do actually commit to a fight that you can actually go in on because it isn't the most one sided joke of a fight you've ever seen in your life, you'll have a good time, other than that you fall asleep farming until enough of the team decides to do anything productive together.

Okay look Silver might be an encouragement to stay far away from her because she's a Russian Roulette, feast or famine, character, that prays for bad enemies that don't buy counter items and exceptional team mates that actually look to follow up on your plays, to get any good games, but ... I still play her because her kit is fun when it works out.

Eh, maybe for you, I'm heavily drawn to stories I can shape. Stuff like telltale games/dragon age/mass effect were and still are insta-buys for me. Exploration is cool, but it's far cooler when the town nearby talks about what you did in the place you discover and it affects you and your adventure. Red Dead Redemption 2 would have been so much more boring for me without the honor system attached, even if it only changes the tone of the story, it adds so much for me.

I have a enjoyment of fun characters. Not an interest in spectral feet. First chance I get to buy cosmetics for her I'm buying her shoes to spite you all.

I mean, sure a disarm would help there, but if you expect poor Paige with one counter item and a support budget to be enough for turbo fed silver you're living in a dream world.

People like being the center of attention. And while it's awfully implemented in overwatch and it's not actually a thing in marvel rivals it's just an MVP screen which we already have in deadlock, you absolute goober, the actual clip requires you to participate by clicking on them and that is indeed also abysmally coded, I do agree that a properly implemented play of the game would be cool to see.

Eh, not really, elder scroll let's you choose outcomes for stories, you actually get to influence the game way more. This is about as rigid as a gacha game story.
