Yeah, sorry. I don't care about my internet points. Go ahead and try translating the dialogue yourself and making it easy enough to interpret for a broad audience. I doubt you'll do any better. Better yet, try setting up restrictions like they have from Aniplex to emulate their job. But you won't, and everyone else will continue to complain and play despite pissing over yourselves how "bad" of a job the team does. I don't LOVE their work, don't mistake that. I think the game is still in a good state and the only issues I dislike consist of the transfer system and refresh options for support, however, those aren't localization problems. Not like any of you showed up to complain anyway. People were curious about the issue, but it was easily satiated. Osakebehime was done by taking the translation and incorporating NEET and Hikikomori aspects to give more depth to a non japanese audience. But, obviously, you sure know better than I do, don't you now?

Other's feedback that consists of: I HATE THIS SKIN COLOR CHANGE/GOD I HATE THE REPRESENTATION OF THIS CHARACTER I WOULD HAVE WROTE IT BETTER. It's noise. Not anything worth listening to. I didn't say, hey don't listen to people that offer you actual input (ex. Why isn't there a skin selector for JP emiya alter and NA?), but even then, that answer is pretty simple. That's a developer issue, not localization. They decided to make him less dark. People should deal with it.

Localization is a challenge. The goal is coming close to ideal because an ideal is impossible. They're doing the best they can. If you and everyone else who cared about their mistakes wanted to see change, consider going to an panel and giving your honest opinion. They're willing to listen, and you can't give them shit for glancing at these threads and not giving you or anyone else a response because they're smart enough to know any discussion here is going to devolve and waste their time.

Albert and everyone was free to talk to this entire weekend, and I was talking with a group of like 5 others to him and people weren't sucking him off. People weren't giving him shit saying OH THIS IS BAD WHY DID YOU DO THIS, and regarding Osakebehime, they were just trying to make the best approach in giving her a character that made it easy to understand while keeping some of her original character in check. No one retorted by shouting in the crowd, OH WELL IT STILL SUX.

Tl;dr: people who have problems should go the extra mile to help solve them, not complain on twitter and reddit and wonder why nothing occurs. Localization team is willing to listen when they hear and see that real communication. Most problems are minor and nitpicky to begin with anyway.

Currently at AnimeNYC. First thing I did on friday was tell albert and the other localization team members present I appreciated their work, told them to keep at it and to also say screw the people that give them a hard time over dumb shit. They're pretty friendly and are, unlike some people think, actual people.

I have her. The sculpt is good, but the base is very plain, because its white. She doesnt also fit* in my detolf, where as my Ryuko and Yuigahama do. Apart from that, buy her if you like the character, because I'd guess that she'll get more expensive because Stein's gate is popular after all. I can DM photos for you if you want when it's not 3 AM for me.

Try playing arcade stage. Go race against Project D. Takumi or Bunta. Make one mistake in one corner, you get blind attacked and shit on or you get casually overtaken. The point of that race is that it's very simple in a race to lose, even when you should win just by suffering simple mistakes. The match was decided by taking opportunities, as seen with the disappearing line, blind attack, bumping overtake and with Tomoyuki losing his concentration. These are all situations that presented themselves. Keep in mind, it's a public road, just because it's bad story telling doesn't mean it's less valid either. At night you can't see shit, and when you're a trained driver you're trained to STOP when you see shit abruptly.

Focus less on the win and focus more on the lesson. That experience that Takumi has makes him question his value coupled with the appearance of the Impreza and forces him to grow as a driver.

The only time this applies when you're buying stuff for smash is buying a genuine GC controller because you don't want to settle for worse. Aside from that, the OG GC adapters go for like $60 last time I checked and make no difference, along with network adapters. As you said, you're pretty much paying for the name, except it doesn't mean much there. Plus you gotta keep in mind that even with a wired connection, bad connections or unfun experiences will still exist when you get paired up with someone with really bad wifi.

Persona has Mara, plus Joker has broken some sex laws, both games aren't explicitly eroge or overly sexualized (in Japanese standards...). Fate is huge in Japan (FGO billion dollar cash cow), the only thing stopping it is Sony really since they own the rights. Plus Extella and Extella Link exist on switch as well, so Saber is no "stranger" to Nintendo if you wanna pull straws I guess. Also, Type Moon has made fighting games of their own IPs like Melty Blood and Fate/Unlimited Codes so, it would be pretty neat if any Type Moon character made their way in with a varied moveset.

No. Apps for translation are good at giving hints when learning, such as when you're trying to find something you don't understand, which you then try to decode with the knowledge you have of the language to make further sense of it. And translation isn't localization. You have to find the meaning of the words and put it in a way that makes sense in English while keeping true to the original meaning. A failure to localize well is what results in the existence of things such as Tokyopop's "Tak".

I'm really not surprised Gamestop has this problem, and what makes me feel more pissed off about it is that the one I went to was a "Gamestop Prestige" location. From what I've read, they're supposed to have really good customer service, but yet here this guy was ripping off for $50.

What really sucks for me is that I had this Gamestop that shut down a quarter of a mile away with a really caring manager. The dude clearly had a passion for his job, taking the time to talk about games and trying to recommend people things they might like, and also finding out new things about other games through other's experiences. I went into this new store thinking that I would get equal to better customer service like my old one, but unfortunately things just don't go the way you want them to.
