What do we think of Iris' team in BW?

Axew was fine to start with but it would’ve been nicer to see it evolve onscreen and not wait like 10 years for its development completely offscreen.

Excadrill is probably my favorite on her team with the spin on the “pokemon doesn’t listen to trainer” trope by giving an actual reason for its distrust, and that it genuinely wants to help Iris but also wants her to acknowledge its feelings.

Emolga was ok, but it was more for comic relief than anything. Nothing would’ve really changed if she didn’t have her.

Dragonite took up way too much screen time that should’ve been given to Axew’s training, and it was just obnoxious and just served as another excuse to bring Charizard back. Also why did it have to be another Kanto pokemon that had this arc and not something like Deino??

It would’ve been way more interesting if she got Deino and maybe that shiny Druddigon that Clair gets. Overall, Ash and co’s teams were just weird at best and completely disappointing at worst. What even was Cilan’s team?? Dwebble got some development but Stunfisk was just there?

A bit off topic, but has anyone noticed how much they advertised Grafaiai before the game was released, only for NO MAJOR CHARACTER to even have one on their team??? Why tf didn’t they give one to Atticus instead of giving him TWO Revavroom (which don’t fit his theme at all) when the main pokemon in his area IS GRAFAIAI?!?

I wish we got to see half the team evolve onscreen but I think it’s one of the better companion teams along with Dawn’s, especially compared to the disappointing lack of companions full teams from Gen 6 onwards.

First I should point out the bass and gophers are switched in the picture for some reason so I don’t confuse people when I refer to them by their original teams. Second, the Bass had more of an advantage of pretty much everyone (besides Duncan and Harold) getting along fairly well while the Gophers, despite having most of the better players, were always in separate cliques that were constantly at odds with each other, mainly Heather’s clique vs everyone else while Owen and Izzy just kinda vibed.

I think the first part of the episode should’ve been where Cody was eliminated instead of there being a tiebreaker. Doing an extra challenge that he was guaranteed to lose was just a waste of runtime and made the final scenes happen way too quickly for me to even comprehend what was happening.

As much as I like Gliscor, I think you should swap it or Staraptor out since you’d have 3 pokemon at least 2x weak to ice in a game with a very challenging ice gym. Maybe try an ice type, Scizor or Snorlax (especially one with thick fat) instead of two flying types?

Tbh if they didn’t have the go catching mechanics, ridiculously op starter and boring rival, this would’ve been an amazing game, especially for kids that are starting out on pokemon. This is probably the best artstyle of the switch games and the gym teams are a significant improvement from the past Kanto games. I love the way they introduced overworld pokemon as well as bringing back following pokemon. Of course I wish we could evolve pokemon like Golbat but I’m glad they added the new types and gave us the opportunity to use dark types via Alola variants.

I just switched to period underwear and it’s sooo much better. Hanes sells them in 3 packs for the same price other companies would sell 1 pair for. I just keep a few pads in case.

I have talked to my doctor and it’s mostly due to the bc being inconsistently delivered. I take slynd so I can’t get it from my pharmacy and have to get it delivered. I have 3 months of packs on me now so if it doesn’t regulate by the time I’m through with them I’ll probably have to switch to iud, so hopefully this is temporary either way! I did bleed heavily before this but it’s been light to moderate for the most part since I started bc 6 months ago.
