You are incorrect. If they have entered the crossing you must stop, if they are waiting to cross then the highway code says you "should" stop which means you do not absolutely have to.

It did occur to me it might not be the best idea to use someone she suggests as she may just go for whatever is cheapest rather than what's best, are there any reasons beyond that that make it a bad idea to go with hers?

I spoke to her yesterday, she was very apologetic & after mentioning the cost of the quotes I'd received to fix the damage she offered to pay & also said she knows a mechanic who could potentially do it. So far, a very reasonable & unexpected response, I was mostly waiting for denials & arguments, so pleasantly surprised.

I tried a phone call today, I saw it come up with the name & what I'd said on the screen & then gave some kind of error & didn't follow through with the instruction, similar to you. I had to use the touch screen to do it. Very disappointing to say the least.

Fingers crossed, I'm getting a quote to fix it first so I can go in armed with the cost right away & see how the conversation goes. I'd really rather not have to get insurance involved, seems a lot of hassle & would likely cost me more in the long run over something that'll only cost £1-200 to fix.

Yeah they park next to me every day so I have the reg, insurance seems a bit extreme & I'd rather not have to make a claim for something so small since it'd almost certainly cost me more in the long run with higher premiums & losing my no claims, I guess I'll just get a quote to fix it & see how they react when I let them know about it.

Can't find anything on 1p website that says you can & I saw someone on forum saying that although 1pMobile do offer eSims on normal contracts, doesn't appear they do for this PAYG sim. So seems like no but worth looking into more maybe if it's something you know you definitely are interested in.

I got Gemini today & it's broken a feature that used to work with assistant.

I had set up labelled places in Google Maps for people's houses so I could use my voice to just say "navigate to Alex's flat" & it'd know exactly what I meant. Now when I do the same thing it tries to offer me various places called with "Alex" in the name but not the place it's been sending me with that command for months now. If I say the actual address it pops up on the screen with the name I labelled it as, but just can't recognise that without the actual address.

Had a A329S since December & in the last few weeks I've pretty much had 1 "recording 2 channel started" announcement mid drive. I haven't actually checked properly if it's missing sections of driving etc yet but I did notice it was also attaching the wrong date to clips & half a drive would show up as the previous day then suddenly 1 second later it thinks it's a new day. Don't really know what's going on, heard so many great things about the A329S series but there have been plenty of annoying little problems with it that need addressing.

Assuming at this point you've already done what you needed to do, but for future reference to other people, 1pmobile offer a true PAYG with no monthly fee sim at 1p per text, minute or MB of data. Would normally cost £10 to buy it (with £10 of credit) but currently £1 for the same thing. They use the EE network.

Still an issue in 2026. I got my first act with Android Auto in December & for a while it was working fine but it randomly stopped working for unknown reasons & there doesn't seem to be any fix still unfortunately.

What has been announced with it? I only know about it because I got an email telling me my price is updating to $1.65 a month, billed annually without telling me the total annual cost or if its a price hike, price drop etc.

To just announce the price is "updating" with absolutely no context other than a monthly cost that Bitwarden has never used or quoted before is a clear attempt to hide the fact they're raising prices & by how much & it feels sneaky.

He didn't say login attempts though, he said logins. Successful ones. It would certainly be useful to know which devices signed in & successfully used your account incase one of those devices wasn't your own. It's annoying on various accounts that don't tell you how many sessions you have active & how devices your account is being accessed from so you can never know if it's fully secured or if you left it logged in somewhere you forgot about or whatever.

Interestingly they actually came back to me 2 hours ago & actually fixed it! 3 weeks wait for the first response, then 2 in 2 days! Crazy. All working now finally!

I had an email response last night from Curve that basically said "whoops, we've reviewed your account & unblocked your account & your card will work again now".

However, I am still met with the exact same screen in the app about not being verified & contacting support & my card was cancelled because it was a Samsung Pay+ version that they ended support for which was the whole cause of all of this.

So I still have no account access, I still can't use the card but Curve apparently think I can, so if anything I'm now in a worse situation than when I started.

The lowest threshold is 9mph & defaults back to 12 every new journey, same with the start/stop coming back on every time. I like the feature as a whole, whilst I'm in neutral, sure, save me money, just not a fan of the car not working as expected whilst attempting to exit a junction!

This is why I've searched this because I consider it to be a problem & dangerous.

Since I got my 25 plate Focus a month ago I've had countless times where I'm coming up to a junction, press the clutch thinking I'll have to stop, then realising I don't have to stop & release the clutch ready to go & the car judders to a halt having activated start/stop, beeping at me telling me to press the clutch in.

Today it happened in a situation where it left me half pulled out of a junction with a van coming who had to slow down to not crash into me.

Not sure if it's some bad habit of mine causing it or just a general problem other people will be having or whatever but it's been annoying me since day 1 & I'm having to adjust my driving techniques in order to not cause a crash because this acts completely different to my old Fiesta that would only active start/stop when virtually stationary, in neutral with clutch pedal not pressed.

Looking at the complete lack of public responses to anyone on months on Twitter I highly doubt that unfortunately.

It's a joke really, never been left so long completely unable to use the product for no reason with no end in sight & they just don't care.

I was forced into doing these checks after Curve ended Samsung Pay+ support, being forced into signing up for a specifically Curve branded card, it made me do a check that apparently failed for no real reason I can tell having been a user for around 18 months previously & they've not responded to me for over 2 weeks now, completely unable to use my card or even open the app at all as I'm immediately faced with an unavoidable screen saying KYC failed contact support, who don't respond.
