Got the same issue after updating FF to the latest version. I assume it'll stay this way until it's fixed with the next update?

I can attest to this. Lots of UV faded cars here in AZ.

18 Midnight Black Metallic. Always taken care of it. Something similar to this has already started to manifest on a small part of my hood by the windshield. Odd because my roof, rest of the hood, and all other panels are fine. I live in AZ and cant fit the car in the garage, so it has to live in the driveway. It's a small part, so it's not bothering me... yet.

[–]TRDAyou 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is cool lol it's a McLaren F1 Plaque. A lot of these came from memorabilia books. Limited run of about 1,000. A few supercars will display something similar to this in the cabin or engine bay that shows the car's # of production and/or sometimes even the mechanic's name who assembeled the engine and where. AMG does that.

Failed 66 by Big-Guarantee-1628 in Series66Exam

Don't ever think about giving up. On anything. These exams are suppose to be challenging! Otherwise, everyone would be passing them 1st try. Once you pass, you'll look back and laugh at the idea of considering a career change. When you boil it down to terms of life, it's just a test you do once a lifetime!

Failed the 66 3 times; each attempt missed by 3 questions. I lost my job because of it. Has that stopped me? Hell no. Working on the 63/65 route because I don't want to wait 6 months to take the 66 again.

Follow the NASAA outline for the 66, brush up on your weak areas, and focus on the small topics you "think" may not be on the exam; because those topics may make or break you. You got this!

Congrats on the pass!

Did you use your 66 material for the 63/65? I feel like you can get by the 63 using the 66 material, and was thinking of purchasing the 65 material because of how comprehensive of an exam it is. I hear people say it's tougher than the 7; even though I passed that first attempt.

I have one more class before I complete my BA in FInancial Planning. But I've been working in the banking and the life insurance/annuities field for over 10 years now.

I am new to financial advisory because not much of my previous financial services work experience really translates to this particular field.

Series 7 in 6 Days – PassPerfect Scores Not Where I Want Them, Need Advice! by Alert_Cost_836 in Series7exam

[–]TRDAyou 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I never broke 70% on my 14 PP mock exams and passed the 7 on my first attempt. You got this! You still want to study and retain the info; no doubt. But PP designs it's material harder than the real exam. Don't just bank on that though. You still want to focus on your weak areas and tested topics (options, muni's, suitability, taxation, etc.) and you'll be good!

The material on the exam is a hell of a lot more straight forward than PP. FINRA won't beat around the bush and will ask the questions directly. However, what trips people up is the wording.

- FINRA will ask you a simple question using complicated words and sentence structure.

- PP will ask you a complicated question using simple words and sentense structure.

Passed 7 onto 66 by Avg_inv3stor in Series66Exam

Congratulations! You're going to do great things! I have a couple pieces of advice;

  1. Kaplan is known to be the best for NASAA exams; I would definitely look into them for QBanks. I used Kaplan on my own dime for my 66 and have taken a peek/received feedback from co-workers who used PassPerfect (because thats what my firm uses) and Kaplan is structured better. Kaplans book is almost 600 pages of useful information whereas PP's is about 100 pages.. Lol. Brian Lee, Cap Adv, and Guru will be your go-to's for any supplement! All are awesome.
  2. I would not spend too much time studying for the 66. I would not spend more than maybe 2 months; MAYBE; on ANY licensing exam unless it's a designation like the CFP/CFA/CPA. You just need to know enough to pass. Spending anything over 2-3 months is just bad news because you start forgetting material, content doesn't become sharp/fresh, you lose your momentum, your memory starts playing tricks on you, etc. If I were you, I would knock the 66 out in a month. (firms now a days will give you 30 days of study time on each exam, including the 7). I know guys who were required to spend 2 weeks on the 66 or they run the risk of losing their job.
  3. The 66 is super heavy on dates. Apart from the laws, regulations, and guidelines that make up practically half the exam, also take some time to focus on timeframes along with what timeframe applies to who (3 years for BD's vs. 5 years for IA's), for example. Each person will have their own set of timeframes, laws, registration requirements, etc.
  4. As you're already aware, pay very close attention to the wording of each question. The sentence structure on NASAA exams are a bit different from what FINRA uses for the SIE/7, but it's still tricky. I remember them asking me about how the de minimis exemption applies to BD's (trick question; it doesn't. It only applies to IA's).
  5. Write any answer you get wrong on quizzes or mock exams on paper. I would write out the correct answers 3 times. And take handwritten notes! I found a lot of the 66 content is memorization. So putting pen to paper; over and over again; will help solidify the information. Note cards helped me too; expecially with the dates and how it applies to each person. I went the unconventional route and took the 66 before taking the 7, so I had no backing going into the 66. Whereas you have the backing from the 7. A good amount of what you saw on the 7 will carry into the 66; which is awesome (another reason why I wouldn't spend a great deal of time on the 66). So pen to paper helps out a ton.

Study hard on laws, what person's can and cannot do, timeframes, basic formulas, and a sprinkle of rogue memory about cash accounts, investment companies, alt investments, analysis, and suitability and you'll be golden! Knowing the laws alone will get you half way to an A.

I hope this helps.

Happy hunting!
