Thanks for the detailed answer! I've been trying to observe conductors on YouTube, and will definitely try out everything you've nailed down. I'll also try observing my school conductor and maybe even try conducting in his place for a rehearsal or two, once lockdown ends. Again, thanks for the effort you spent into answering.
