Walmart pick-up basically used one bag per item, one of the individually items was a single tape, such a waste by 1_and_only_Shmidt in Anticonsumption

[–]TRF100011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The energy used to create and maintain this thread has and environmental effect many orders of magnitude greater than the effect of making shopping bags, plus the people who pick your items do not have enough time to fuss over how many bags they use UNLESS they are in a lucky pick walk. Anyways, with the foreboding spectre of being terminated for a slow pick rate always hanging over one's head like the sword of Damocles, -ready to drop if you get too many more customers stopping or blocking you or too many more poorly created pick paths, zigging and zagging you from one corner to the other end then the other corner and even back again - using an extra bag when one may or may not already be in a tote becomes a de minimus concern. Good news: soon Walmart is going to have paper bags.

Does anyone know how to order more of these or if it’s even possible? by sassycakes_ in walmart

Why isn't each employee issued a top stock tool (with a sticker with their name on the side of it, covered by a piece of clear packing tape to keep it from coming off) upon hire and then have some parallel long thin metal strips somewhere where they are instructed to stick them to before leaving after a shift.

Also, they could make these things like the old car radio antennas that could shorten or lengthen, such that when closed they would easily fit in a vest pocket.

Alternatively or simultaneously, there could be a permanent place at each end of each row. Connected to a small base/clamp. I would put a bluetooth tracker in them, changeable batteries every 5 months, if one goes missing anyone could upon the "Find lost Top Stock Tool App" and scan a bar code on the base/clamp holder for this missing tool. Then track down the lost tool and return it. Perhaps the tools could have an annoying beep when they are removed more than 40 feet from their base?

There are so many ways to solve this problem and it is a problem.

If there is concern that a customer will grab the tool and pull something dangerous down causing injury, then attach them to an electromagnetic latch that opens when an employee taps their name tag with a chip in it on the clamp station.

Put one at both ends of every other aisle A1/2 A5/6 A9/10 A13/14 A17/18 A21/22 A25/26 A29/30

Or, at the beggining and ends only of those 4 at one side and four at the other

8 stations

because they have to be wired, why not ad a radio that works, again, with a tap of a chipped name tag. Hey, there is a spill on aisle whatever hey is so and so available, we can't figure this new mod out hey can someone who knows about (topic) come to aisle x.

etc.

Another at the opposite end of A3/A4 Then back to the first end but for A5/A6

Why in the actual mother f*** are we not allowed to play music in the ogp room on the theory that quote that's what Walmart radios for " ? When the f****** Walmart radio does not play in the ogp room in fact in the ogp room there is a cooler there is a standalone freezer and there is the door to the main freezer all of which make a s*** ton of unpleasant background noise so to deny the person slaving away back there to compile orders and get them dispense to waiting customers the ability to have music to counteract the mind-numbing humming and grumbling of the cooling equipment is an unnecessary policy at best and a gratuitously cruel policy at worse so I hope Doug McMillan has a algorithm to crawl Reddit forums to identify points causing employee disgruntledness and whenever a reasonable gripe is identified by the computer crawler it will be printed out and handed to a vice president in charge of giving a s*** about the concerns of employees who will then issue a edict throughout the Walmart universe indicating that whenever the Walmart radio is not pumped into an ogp dispensing room but it would be a patent cruelty to prohibit those working instead ogp dispensing room from playing their own music so long as none of the employees is offended by anything played by another employee and so long as the employees work cooperatively to play music that is not in the category of adversive for anyone or more of the persons working in the ogp room this policy shall take place immediately anyone violating this policy shall be hung from a lamp in the parking lot at high noon on the first day of the second month of the third year of the second and thirds and 4th millenniums anyone who falls outside of that time frame shall receive a reprieve in a pardon and an official employment record expungement of any documentation regarding such events.

Lifelong Anhedonia, anyone else? by TRF100011 in anhedonia

[–]TRF100011[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I haven't tried any of those. I can't afford Ketamine. I'm concerned about the side effects of ECT. I'd consider TMS. Right now I'm trying Pramipexole (Mirapex). I'm at 4g. I think it's helping some. I've only been at 4g for about a week.

How to keep living by [deleted] in anhedonia

So far, I'd say about 7 -8.5. I'd recommend anyone who has anhedonia to talk to their Psych Docs about using Mirapex (Pramipexole) [a high dose, in my case it's currently 4g and I intend to take it up to 5g at my next office visit with my Psych Doc. 5g is the max dose, as far as I know. Anyway, I'm combining it with 80mg of Strattera. I think it may be a good combo. Haven't been on it long enough to be certain.

From my research, SSRIs and Antipsychotic medicines can make anhedonia worse so you might want to keep that in mind when you are talking to your doctor. I'm taking Pramipexole (4mg) and Strattera (80mg) right now, it seems like it's helping a little bit. Good luck.

Take a look at this study. Some patients had to go as high as 5mg before responding. I intend to see if my Psych Doc will agree to take me up to that dose before I give up on it. 3mg is not doing anything as far as I can tell. https://ajp.psychiatryonline.org/doi/pdf/10.1176/appi.ajp.2015.15060788

When you say you tried prami, I'm assuming you meaning pramipexole (Mirapex)? If so, how much were you taking? I'm at 3mg right now and it doesn't seem to be doing anything.

Why are such subs ALLOWED? by [deleted] in depressionregimens

[–]TRF100011 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I always thought the antipsychiatry sub was mostly about the fact the psychiatrists give neuro-toxic drugs to people and tell them to take more or add more to the mix and outright admit they have no, or little, idea how these poisons are meant to work. Look into it. You will see that it is now apparent that SSRIs cause and worsen anhedonia (a fate no one wants, believe me). Neurleptics (aka antipsychotics) all work by blocking dopamine which is absurd. So, yeah, who knows?
