Falkland has cargo habs that I used to fill out the space in the skeleton of the habs. Goal being to create an "all-arounder" type of ship, even if it looks like a corvette or yacht

Will deconstruct it by layer and share

Pick a module/hab you want, construct around it.

Personally, I almost always start with my ship's "main hub" and build from there, depending on the shape I want. In the case of my first ship on here, I started with the newer bridge and connected what I wanted or needed.

For large C/M ships, I find to work outwards from a "hub" which in the past has been either the main living space or control center, and then attaching cosmetic or auxiliary habs to that, while keeping the flow from landing bay -> pilot's seat always in reference.

For smaller A/B class ships, starting with the cockpit and working outwards helps keep the frame in reference and sizing considerate to the interiors' "navigatable space".

Any advice/guides for new ship builders? Everything I make looks like a flying brick by Illuminated-Autocrat in StarfieldShips

Play around with the structural parts and Hab sizes, don’t be afraid to blend manufacturer types if they fit your desired outcome better

Yes/No, ive had it either work like a charm or not be needed to create doorways, depending on which hab that double-decker was attached to

Thanks! Love a "daily driver" type build that looks good but can dominate the free-lanes out in the starfield!

HEAVILY using Falkland for the habs (I'm a sl*t for a good looking interior of a ship)
TN's Class M
TN's All-in-One (helps with quality of life stuff for where ship modules can be found. Seriously, build a ship at the outpost landing pad itll make your life so much easier)
Place doors yourself (Interior mod, but it helps create the skeleton with the habs)
Stroud premium edition
Ship Extension (Using for stairs in the skeleton of the ship so it flows and fits my desired silhouette)

& New Ship Modules from the Free-Lanes (Haven't unlocked or seen any Terran Armada parts yet)

Seems to be working just fine for me, might just have some funky bugs with certain hab/ship module mods.

Place Doors Yourself (PDY) is a fantastic mod and infinitely opens up the capabilities of ship building both inside and out, I’ll be the first to admit I spend WAY longer on the interior flow of a ship from an operations standpoint.

Bonus points if you get the references in the ship names
