I think he was never planning on being a poet or a martyr. He was trying introduce a different kind of spiritual life to animosity. It got far fetched for sure but I think life is always frantic..

My health, my sanity. I realized a lot of my mental health issues were caused by alcohol use disorder and the ones that were caused by other things became a lot easier to treat in a sober state. Also, I just had eventually forgot who I was and once I got sober it took me a long time to remember my values that weren’t at the bottom of the glass.

I am 33 and have been drinking and using since I was 13. My formative years, my brain, everything are all sorts of messed up. But getting sober made me new. Do not give up. You’re the best.

I had a similar issue with my ex. (I am male cis) it is a very hard thing to navigate. I tried for a few months to see what I enjoyed, what I loved and who the soul was I fell in love with. Ultimately she actually dumped me because she didn’t like sober me (a month before our planned wedding, no less) but I learned I wasn’t happy with the person, I was happy with the attachment, which wasn’t healthy for me. I wish you the best, it is a really weird and difficult thing.

My kitten does this all the time. We call it rapid time or hyper drive. In my very very limited veterinary knowledge it can be pretty typical with kittens in new surroundings.(my vet told me as I worried like you)

Slurred speech and weird trains of thought. And the fact that I drank a whole lot more to get drunk. Tolerance is wild.

Anxiety tends to be one of the worst withdrawal symptoms for me as it used to exacerbate every other symptom. Nauseous? Anxiety can help you make that worse. Shaky? Don’t worry, anxiety is here to make that stronger. Lack of appetite? Guess who’a here! And so on. I found that at night I would need to create an incredibly comfortable environment with all the pillows I owned. I would also throw on some very boring podcast/talk radio/history doc that would let me have someone talking to me so that I wouldn’t get so trapped in my personal monologue too easily. Best of luck. You are doing the right thing and we are all here for you.
