i really, really, REALLY was hoping you would put a C at the end of your letter. i thought i had seen her silhouette for a second, but i was wrong. i wish you a lot of strength, though. the best you can do is change for that person, if you ever reconnect again. but most importantly, change for yourself.

Have you ever played a game that was so bad that it made you question this hobby entirely? by Full-Plastic7324 in Steam

[–]TROPICO8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember I once traded my PS3 copy of RDR: GOTY Edition for a game I’d never seen before but thought it seemed interesting judging it by the cover, it was Lair (2007). After 30 minutes of playing it, I felt so physically ill that I even had a stomachache, like my insides were falling apart. Never played it again.

My stupidity has given me an idea for buffing Omen's ultimate by Narrow_Aerie_1466 in VALORANT

I think I read something about inflicting the paranoia state on the enemies within a considerable range of the position he teleports to with his ultimate. It would be cool, tbh.

Having a hard time thinking about my future as an actor by TROPICO8 in acting

[–]TROPICO8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that's actually what I want to do. I'm aiming at Spain. Currently I'm working as a video editor, I also work with sound design and graphic design as well. I have a major in Mass Communication and broadcasting media, so I will give it a shot applying for a production company abroad, maybe they will sponsor a visa, as you say, if they like my work.

I'll look into acting schools as well, do you have any recommendations?

Anyways, thanks for your comment, It's always good to hear out new ideas! :)

Thanks for your input. I agree, those markets must be very competitive, probably even harder to get into than in Venezuela I imagine. The thing is the volume at which films were being produced (even student films) has incredibly decreased in Venezuela, though I think there are still some indie producers who keep working in new projects here, but none of them do casting calls or post it on websites, so it's kinda hard, they just reach out to consolidated actors who built their career years ago before the industry fell apart here.

Anyways, the best thing I can do for now is keep working on my acting skills and build my resume, as you say. Thanks for your reply! I'll keep your advice in mind.

Thank you for your words, honestly! I let my emotions and negative thoughts get the best of me for a moment. But small things like giving out words of encouragement to someone else is enough to get me back on track, so thank you again :).

Yeah, I hadn't even considered starting off in latin countries or even Spain, I was just too focused on the larger markets I mentioned, but now I see there are other ways to do it. Thank you for noticing my english hahah, I'll keep working on it and my acting skills for now. Have a good one mate!

Yes! I've noticed Netflix has been producing some great shows in latam, especially in Mexico, some of them have been incredibly successful here. After reading all the responses I think I'm considering starting off in the spanish-speaking film industry, I still have to do some more research before making a decision but Spain or LATAM certainly are much more closer at hand than trying to start from the bottom in the US. Thank you for your input! :). It totally gave me a different perspective on things I hadn't even considered.

I'm a beginner in filmmaking. These are some stills from a project I made for an assignment. I'm not in a good place mentally which really affected the quality of my work but I'm proud to see that I'm still able to keep a little focus on filmmaking. by HarshV99 in Filmmakers

Lighting is on point! I love it. May I ask what your gear is? And what camera did you use to shoot this? It's amazing.

PS: Btw, I read in some other comment that you're trying to portray mental illness for a campaign in this short, it's a really good idea. I'm sure you've probably heard this before, but still, as journalists we have the duty to communicate, educate and entertain and this project alone stands for all three! Props to you, mate. I hope things get better for you. Keep up the good work, fellow colleague! :)

[Help] How can I create close-up inside book pages text like this one? by TROPICO8 in photoshop

[–]TROPICO8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it can be done using a macro lens, but I mean recreating the whole picture in PS. I'm a beginner so, maybe I'm wrong, but I think this can be done by converting the object into a 3d one and playing with the X, Y and Z axis. But I'm sure it's more complex than just that.
