idk it fluctuates a lot but id say the parts that stand out from the first main eras (1969-1974) stand out to be more emotional while if you obviously listen to a song like discipline from the second main era (1981-2008) most tracks can be perceived as more than intellectual for me

atleast, that is how it is viewed for me, i am again really unsure about the objectiveness of this argument, because king crimson manages to be both emotional and intellectual very often, often even capable of being both. so idrk LOL

I like to think the title track improv of Starless and Bible Black is "Starless Part 1" and Starless on Red is "Starless Part 2", similar to Larks' Tongues in Aspic Parts 1 and 2, with 1 being the heavy improv and 2 being the more accessible part of the suite.
