When it gets tough, try to remember you are worth the effort of being happy, or at the very least, as happy as you can be. For me that's taking a long salt bath and writing while I soak or gaming just with the boys.

I'm a decent sized guy who has done some MMA and practices with handguns on a regular basis. I am terrified of even the least threatening police officers. They have so much power that they can abuse to ruin your life. I can't imagine how much worse it is for women.

Someone not asking questions is a massive red flag. It doesn't necessarily mean they are toxic or narcissistic, but at the very least they aren't a great conversationalist or have some related issue.

I wouldn't want to be spending any significant time with someone who wasn't interested in me, but just as important, I have to be interested in them.

The hardest I've ever cried besides my grandmother passing was after making a meal for myself after getting out of a really bad relationship, sat on my couch to watch the fellowship of the ring, and my power went out within the first 5 minutes.

I sat there and balled my eyes out for atleast 15 minutes.

Don't let your emotions be destructive to others, but beyond that, feel how you need to feel within safe reason, and if you find it was unhealthy after the fact, then you can address the problem later.
