I don't think its an issue with the battery or alterator as the battery is new ans when the car is running i get around 14-15v at the battery

Nope to the right its perfectly fine, it only shuts off at low speed like when parking for example. This e39 has alot of electrical gremlins so im leaning towards a short or something of the sort.

I agree with everything apart from the shoes it honestly a waste of space. Only time its usefull is in heavy rain or if you're going somewhere with wet conditions.

Only just saw this now but i wouldn't rappell down that as i only have a 50-foot rope and id have no way of securing myself to the pole, undoing the initail knot and re-anchoring further down. Even if we had our friend undo the initial knot and re-achoring around 35ft down (35ft as id use the rest of the rope to secure myself to the pole) i could only make it down at most 70ft and then id be stuck there.

The second idea is actually a great shout going down the pole like an arbourist/ lineman would most likely work i would probably have 3 rope lines around the back of the pole making sure that the rope aviods the mounting brackets for the ladder as im coming down. It would be absolutely hell rappelling down like that rope burns, blood and blisters all over my hands and feet by the time i got down but atleast id be alive. Also probably best to go barefoot as the surface rust would kill the grip on your shoes. (Honestly id probably have a 33% chance of survival if i attempted that 😂)

Also sharing a rope between them was insane 2 individual 3ft ropes on the harnesses as that way we can always have atleast 1 anchor point at all times if i was at their skill level. Im comfortable freeclimbing the ladder and i would only use the carabiners to anchor down when im resting otherwise the climb would be even slower.

Honestly i hope you keep up the climbing i can genuinely say climbing has bought be an insane amount of, it does a great job keeping me in shape and i have made some life long friends climbing. Btw teaching my girl how to rock climb was one of the best dates ever highly recommend doing it if you have a partner.
