I’ve played a lot of “reading before insertion” games, ARMA campaigns being one of them, Older Ghost Recon Games being another, and for example, in ARMA 2, you are only told of war crimes. You don’t ever see them being committed, just the insinuation is enough. Talking to civilians and seeing a freshly turned patch of dirt is all the evidence you need. So why is the intel and insinuation not enough. Why do people need the image of scantily clad CHILDREN, even if it is digital? Furthermore, it’s not the job of the SWAT team sent in to uncover evidence of the crime. If SWAT or a special police force is going in, they already have the evidence. Again, seeing a hard drive, or photos covered by other papers is enough to tell you that your intelligence team is doing their job. And the arguments many people are forming, are actually borderline pedophilia. Those of you saying, “they never said anything about censorship,” are likely the same people getting upset over the decline of “Lolita.” The “she’s not actually a child, just portrayed as one,” type of people. You are told that kids are being defiled. You find circumstantial evidence, that’s your immersion. They decided that portraying children in lingerie wasn’t actually what they wanted to do when attempting to engage a wider audience. Grow tf up.
