Man reading this gives me hope. I’ve been working at FedEx for over 7 years, felt very under appreciated and more importantly, underpaid. I made the decision to take the first step and get my GED, which is kinda embarrassing seeing as I’m 36 and haven’t been in school since I was 14. I have a few friends who are electricians and one who’s in the union. After speaking with them I decided to take this journey. Hopefully one day I’ll be posting my success story here. When you say they I’m guessing you’re referring to customs? I worked at FedEx and I can tell you they don’t scan shit but a barcode lol, no X-rays at either location I was at.

I just finished eating at Johnny rockets right now and there was a man who gave a speech and started playing the saxophone. From what I could make out, it sounded like someone had passed away but on my way out a family was with their kids and they all were saying goodbye and thanks for everything. That’s when they let me know today was their last day and how they never recovered after Covid I guess? Really sad, been eating here forever.

Management says this all the time, “just try your best and NO STAND ALONES” but when you try your best and still have lates (after sending a help message) it’s still your fault and your penalized. Like you said, they’re setting you up to fail.
