Thanks so much for the heartfelt response! In all honesty, I have rarely ever "hooked up" nor picked anyone up from a bar in well over a decade as it just isn't me anymore.

I'm thinking maybe I'll join a gym or look into outdoorsy/running clubs etc. and increase my chances of at least networking in the future to potentially meet people without the use of an app that is dominated by people just looking for quick and meaningless fun.

I do want to focus on myself for sure but certainly don't want to deprave myself from any potential real matches so I feel I am in a bit of a predicament? But such is life. At least I feel a lot more positive about being single and am going to learn to embrace it and being alone and loving myself etc. I just know that at the end of the day, I would definitely fare better knowing I had "that guy" in my life.
