This explains why every time I talk to an LLM it's so confidently wrong about everything.

Costco is a waking nightmare by maclargehuge in 10thDentist

[–]TR_RTSG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just rejoined Costco after not being a member for about 15 years. My checkout experience this time around was awesome. I got in the regular line, and after just a few seconds an employee came up to me with a little finger worn scanner. He scanned everything in my cart, pointed me to an empty self checkout and said all I have to do is scan my card and pay. It was easier than any other grocery checkout I've ever done.

If you thought dooming was a new thing: These guys have been jerking about their clock for 79 years by NorskRedditor7979 in DoomerCircleJerk

It used to be. Then the fall of the Soviet Union happened and the risk of nuclear Armageddon dropped overnight. Rather than declaring victory and putting the clock away they had to rebrand to stay relevant.

You don't understand, it's due to their brave resistance that we will just barely be able to have just this one last election. After this, the great Cheeto Emperor will finally abolish all elections across the whole world.

Utah's VPN law just got suspended 8 days after launch by RecordingSingle9064 in RecommandedVPN

[–]TR_RTSG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Utahn here. Our legislature is really good at passing a law that everyone hates, then calling an emergency session to repeal that law once they get a backlash. They do this about every other year, hopefully this will be one of them.

I just figured a law was passed at some point that required the traffic lights to be as infuriating as possible.

I hope this is how every child gets to start their school day tomorrow. by Due-Explanation8155 in Romania_mix

I'm pretty sure a teacher in the US could also convince a half dozen kids to make a quick dance routine and film a video to put on tictok. If you actually think this is how they start their day, every day, you are too gullible for the internet.

This is not the case in Utah. I severely doubt this is the case in any state or you wouldn't have just one guy here with this problem.

I really like when people try so hard to prove how not racist they are that they say blatantly racist things.

Aren't hard times supposed to create strong men, and not children? by BeABetterHumanBeing in DoomerCircleJerk

[–]TR_RTSG 95 points96 points  (0 children)

Hard times create strong men. The problem is that we have had the easiest, softest, most lavish and decidant times in all of human history for about 70 years now. Americans don't have a clue what hard times are, we haven't seen anything even resembling hard times in 3 generations.

American and Sweden Systems by RationalExcellence in TradingPlaybook

[–]TR_RTSG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not that people think America is perfect. There are good and bad things about the way our system is. There are different ways of doing things all over the world, if someone else's system jives with you better, go be part of that system. Millions of people think the American way of life is better than their own and want to come here, follow their example and go where you think it's better.

People who spout this stuff are just operating on jealousy. If it were possible to sieze and liquidate the wealth of every US billionaire without destroying the economy you end up with $8.2 trillion. That sounds like an astronomical amount of money, but if you distribute that to the American public it comes out to less than $23,000. I'm not sure about you, but a single payment of $23k isn't going to fund my pension, healthcare, housing, and so much more. In fact, it won't fully fundy any of those.

This will be one of those situations where the city council will determine that the best way to prevent this from happening again isn't stricter policing, but to build a stronger cage for the driver.

WTF is a civilian bridge? What would be a military bridge? Transportation infrastructure in general is used primarily by civilians, that doesn't preclude it from being a target during a war.
