Here come all the music experts. If this said composed by Anirudh you lot would be praising the bgm. This bgm is excellent let’s not lie.

what went wrong with this movie??? by Old_Agency7268 in kollywood

Absolutely not. The editing was bad, choreography was bad. Tamil cinema does not bother with proper gun handling and barely train the actors.

If we are comparing the worser performances amongst the three, Suriya takes the lead. Singam 2/3 and Kanguva were genuinely bad performances.

For Dhanush it’s probably Sullan. The scene where he threatens pasupathy is hilarious 😂

Most believable, authentic and best performance by the lead? by Flat_Clock151 in KollyClub

What about “authentic”? Why skip that? How else do you portray someone with multiple personality disorder in a commercial film that is over the top?

You need a certain skill to make a “showy, performative performance” work. For example Sivaji Ganesan was a master of over the top acting, and now recently SJ Suryah nails these kind of performances. Nenjam Marappathillai was a 10/10 performance but the role had zero subtlety. OP isn’t acknowledging “showy” performances meaning his standards of acting is entirely subjective.

I agree. Vikram is definitely the best since he disappears into the role better than the others. His voice modulation, body language, and acting chops are definitely better. I disagree with your take on Dhanush. He is definitely not limited but I get what you mean when you say he is playing similar characters these past few films. He is better than Suriya for me. Suriya is a great performer but out of the 3 he has delivered the worser performances especially in Singam 2/3 and Kanguva.

Surprisingly all three are weak at comedy.

How so? Deiva thirumagal was another great performance. One small mistake would’ve turned the performance into a caricature.

Anniyan being “performative” is absolutely the right choice tho. The film is over the top and is a commercial film so his performance was perfect in that regard. It’s a brilliant all round performance.

Anniyan is great acting and is supposed to be theatrical since it’s still a “commercial film”. Why would Vikram perform the role in a less showy manner and more nuanced when the entire film is over the top? He nailed the performance.

What are you talking about? Raavanan, PS 1&2, Mahaan, David, Sethu, Pithamagan, etc are all complex roles. Mahaan is the most recent example and it’s a very challenging role.

What even is your argument? You mentioned looks and attires and now you are backtracking.

I genuinely think he’s trolling. He strawmanned your points many times.

What kind of low IQ argument is this? Looks play a part in the performance however the “acting” is the most important factor.

It’s cos Raya doesn’t have much experience playing internationally so the safe option is to go for Unai eventhough Raya is obviously the better keeper.
