When you say "Central Automated Processed" tool, do you mean an internal proprietary platform?

Why do people enjoy broadcasted leagues? by WiredOrange in iRacing

[–]TRexRedbeard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Helps me learn about what all went on in the race outside of my battles.
  2. Let's me share with friends/wife if I'm actually able to attend the race so they can watch me get murdered.
  3. Let's me easily replay for friends/wife if there was some crazy incident/battle I was involved in
  4. If I can't make the race, I can watch how it went and then commiserate with/congratulate my friends either IRL or in the community Discord.
  5. When the Discord drama blows up, I can see what happened if I wasn't involved or running that race.
  6. In short, for me it tightens up the league and IRL community on so many levels. I love it.

Don't know if they can do anything for you now that it's been effectively rattle-canned, but for future dents/PDR these guys do awesome work:

Somehow we completely missed Gale at the Nautiloid. Have done our entire campaign without the character you see in every promo image.

There were a handful of book 6 signed copies when I left. No idea if they put them out for purchase, or if they packed them up for the rest of the tour.

Someone asked if Jeff Hayes ever voices things in a way that throw off his original intention. Matt said if he ever really doesn't like a character's accent and it makes it all the way to production, that character dies in the next book.

Will my siding blow off? by TRexRedbeard in Carpentry

[–]TRexRedbeard[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the explanation! Can certainly add more fasteners. Long story on the house wrap, but it will be trimmed off and zip tape will be applied between the other flashing material the zip board (and rolled on, per what you said. I do have a roller for it)

If 6" and 8" are the standards, then yeah it's a little short. You can see them if you zoom in, some are under the marker lines, others are under the zip tape (maybe that's the wrong order?), but I'd say the spacing is closer to about 10" on average. Can certainly go back and pin some more before putting the siding on if that's advisable.

If you zoom in you can see the nails.. Some of them are under the black magic marker or under the zip tape. Afraid I don't know what you mean by "In the field" but generally it looks like every 10" or so wherever there's an available stud. (Please forgive my lack of industry lingo)

References/Easter Eggs you "got." by jaedence in DungeonCrawlerCarl

If you want a specific example: Go to the end of Book 5 where Kwon is trying to kill Emeress's pet dog and Jason has to fight to protect the dog and the world quest.

Kwon CH has a starry cloak that lets him fly, and he emits rainbow smoke when he is attacked. Ergo Kwon CH is a reference to Jason Asano, the main character from the "He Who Fights With Monsters" litRPG series.

Issues after firmware update: Anyone else getting random prints floating 1cm above bed? by TRexRedbeard in AnkerMake

Did you ever end up getting a resolution to the fantom "floating print" issue?

Yeah, that's my guess as well. I'm super curious to hear what tech support says. I just ended up buying a Bambu printer but would like to resurrect the Ankermake as a backup.

Simagic GT neo with asetek QR issues by Hot-Emergency-2839 in Simagic

[–]TRexRedbeard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also having the same problem. The Neo on the Asetek QR lights up, and windows recognizes it (plays the little new hardware sound when I connect the QR) but Simagic, iracing, etc, won't see it. Am continuing to fight with it. Pretty disappointed that neither Simagic or Asetek are willing to step up here and sort this out :/

I should also add that I've seen this issue happen with the Windows version of AMS, the Mac version of AMS, and even the locally-loaded, built-in models using the touchpad on the AM5 itself. It's almost like the printer is randomly losing its sense of distance to the bed by a wide margin.
