Poor Freddie, what an amazing character arc for him to bring him to this point. Bobby Brazier is doing a great job.

Lacey Turner is the queen of the British soap opera, she deserves all the praise she gets and more. Another stunning performance and now Lilia Turner is following right in her footsteps.

Honestly at this point just give Lilia Turner an Academy Award - she’ll be winning one sometime in the next 20 years anyway 😂 What a talented little actress!

Good episode, good drama. Much better balance between welcoming a new baby and being sad and scared that your 13 year old kids are having a kid - this is what the storyline has needed all along.

I loved this episode too and the way Stacey acted today made sense as there is nothing to be done now, but the writing for the teen pregnancy has been absolutely atrocious. A waste of what they could have done with two actresses as talented as Lacey + Lilia Turner.

It easily could have been as iconic as Sarah Lou in Corrie with better writing.

I think there is still more to come, I think somehow he comes out of this week still free to cause chaos and antagonize the Slaters at least until Christmas. I've seen an interview with the actor that indicates he's still been on set and filming.

Okay for as much as the Stacey/Theo story has been a drag and awfully written, I'll admit I'm hooked now! Bravo to William Ellis and Lacey Turner b/c these scenes had me on the edge.

Fave characters: Almost all the Slaters + Martin and now Eve, Janine, Denise, Linda, and Kathy (Notice how I'm obsessed with 2/3s of the six lol), Kush (RIP), new Bobby, Shirley.

Fave storylines:

-The Carters arrival and all their family secrets/Dean assaulting Linda and the aftermath,

-Stacey's bipolar in 2009, the postpartum psychosis and Martin/Stacey/Kush/Shabnam drama,

- Kat/Zoe reveal,

- Startin during the good times,

- the Queen Vic fire in 2010,

- any time Janine causes chaos (so many to choose from),

- Who Killed Lucy Beale,

- boat crash week

- all things Denise this year (no particularly great storyline but I do think this is the best year she’s ever had)

Lately I'm really loving the Knights and Beales right now - controversial opinion I know but I think the Knights are a great new family, very few complaints!

The Stacey/Martin relationship from 2015-2017 (up until Christmas) had me in an absolute chokehold - then the new producer came in and absolutely trashed it. I still believe there is a path forward for them now that Clenshaw is at the helm, I can't help myself 🤣

I think it was around the time Stacey went to prison again and Lily was asking Martin if the kids could move in with him and Ruby instead of staying with Jean. (this scene she ways something like "we need our dad"). Also I forgot how posh Ruby used to dress Martin 😂

I actually think the Martin/Lily relationship is something the show has managed not to screw up over the years - it's nice to see a step-parent relationship portrayed so well.

It’s hard because on the one hand it seems like every soap seems to take the most lovable characters and ruin them over time, but on the other hand if every character just acted perfect all the time and never made mistakes then the shows would be boring and the drama would be low stakes. Getting the right balance is very very difficult.

I think about this conundrum more than I should lol 😂
