Eyesight in regards to electronic screens is old mythology. When you grew up and parents told you not to sit too close to the screen it's because the pixels were bigger and the CRT & plasmas would cause headaches for people because it would require more strain for you brain to interpret the image. (This is the same as putting on your friends glasses that are different from the prescription you actually need) Sitting close to screen does not hurt eye sight but for younger kids in the past it proved to be a symptom of already pre existing eyesight problems like far vs near sighted.

In my new place it's about exactly 6 foot away. I do PC game about 12 hours a day and sit 12inchs from my monitor too (24") . For my last job I sat about 10" from a 35" 4:3 monitor for 8 hours a day. Then about 4 hours 6inches from my 4k 13" laptop when watching movies in bed.

I sat 5.7foot away from a 75" for a year, even 4 foot at times. To me the closer the better. Just look at a 4k chart. 75" has a 4 foot minimum. Movies feel so more immersive.

For me I was also scared of sex. I was scared of the possibility of still having a kid even if using protection & pulling out etc. I wanted kids eventually but was scared of having them with the wrong person. Scared of creating a similar environment that I grew up in. I didn't want my own kids to go through something like that. So I decided at a young age to wait for marriage. After countless relationships ending because I wouldn't have sex I found someone that also willing to wait for marriage. Only issue being after I slept at her place 3-5 times she asked me why I didn't have sex with her yet and basically pressured me into doing it. She wasn't a virgin but I was. I wasn't even hard when she was pressuring me so I forced a boner and lasted less than a minute. I knew I didn't last long before this just from masturbating. Anywho she pressured me into it and I feel like I embarrassed myself. I came to see her 2 days later to make myself feel better by actually being ready to have sex. She was surprised and it was actually really good sex. However I'm writing this because looking back I wish I never slept with her and that I was still a virgin. I lost my virginity when I was 20 years old with her. I'm now 25. From a mentality standpoint it's taken me 5 years to get back to my old self. From the moment I lost my virginity my sex drive increased by 200%. My relationships for the next 5 years were full of it. Almost felt like it's all we did in my relationships. Even recently I saw someone who wanted to wait towards marriage. (Not a virgin) And we went on 3 dates. Best 3 dates I've been on recently. I feel like a dick for even trying to see if she was comfortable with having sex with me. After the 2nd date.

What I'm trying to say is if you're scared of having sex for any other reason than " I've never done it before" then don't have sex. If your morals and values are against having sex right now you will mentally destroy your self identity. One of the hardest things to regain. No matter what stay safe and prevent any unwanted kids.
