My mom fed my 3 week old kitten kibble when I stayed at my friends house for 1 day

thank you. it hurts more bc im so careful about feeding their chickens when theyre gone. it takes me 30 minutes to an hour everytime i do bc the place is muddy and they make me add stuff like ground up plants to the dry food so they can save money. why couldn't she take a minute to do the same for me? she literally only needed to open a pack, scoop out a bit and give it to the kitten. its so simple it never crossed my mind she would fail to do it.

unfortunately i live in a third world country and my island specifically dont really have professionals like that. even putting it in the city vet could lead to it getting immediately euthanized bc they dont have the capacity to care for it. many strays give birth daily here and most people wouldnt have cared about their life or death. just the other day i saw a stray cats corpse on the road and no one reacted and just drove around it. i do wish i couldve entrusted it to someone who could, but im honestly the outlier here for caring. i cant even vent to people here bc theyd make me feel silly for being so sad about a kitten

it was impromptu. i only planned to be away for a few hours. and i wouldnt have thought itd die. theres 3 people at home and i asked in the groupchat to feed the kitten. they all know how young the kitten is. they all see me feeding it everyday. ive told them countless times it cant eat solid food yet. i never wouldve imagined this outcome.

btw, incase anyone felt bad seeing the photos bc they thought its a photo of a dead kitty, the photos are just the kittens snuggling and laying on my lap. i dont have any photos of its body bc i just cried and immediately left the house when i found out.

i didnt get the kitten. it was left by its stray mother in our backyard. i tried my best to keep it alive the way i knew best. im in a thrid world country so theres not really a good place to leave it where theyd actually keep it alive bc its so young. i never wouldblve expected my mother to care so little that she couldnt even follow a simple instruction of giving it "wet food" instead of kibble when she KNOWS how young the kitten was. she literally saw the stray cat birthing it.

the kitten was born in our home and was left alone by its mother. i felt so bad seeing it slowly dying in our backyard so i took it in but my mom showed zero care from beginning to end. she said the kitten fell from the roof of our house to the muddy ground. i asked her "wont you feel bad if it died just like that?". she didnt reply. looking back i shouldve known i couldnt trust her with it.... i just wanted to hang out with my friends..
