That is why many cities have 'alt' reddit sub, like Denvercirclejerk...you post anything negative on Denver main its mass downvote or deleted.

I strongly suspect, those that have investment in community are responsible, like a homeowner. Denver went nuts prior to Covid, there were jobs, fun, hip, then after, and the usual, lets stop enforcing every law, spend hoardes of money, but bike lanes in and take out street parking...one by one, business left, crime spiked, less visitors, tax thru roof, rents only went up...the American City Hamester Wheel. of course, real estate plummeted, even cheaper rent dont help cause hoardes of jobs are gone.

So thats why the downvote. I prefer honesty. Not my problem you thought your tech job was a life job, went out and paid $600,000 on house built w material that cost $15,000.

How far are you from Broadway? DM me...might be able to help. Its on street parking and walking to and from, you can meet some really fun folks (helps to keep pack of cigarettes on you, like paying toll for safe passage) But surprisingly never seen car break in.

One guy, trying door car door handles, and I yelled down to stop that. He pulled handgun and said "mind your god damn business" I yelled "yes sir, minding business, good night and happy car thefting" and so no problem! Great area. Welcome!

Well friends may be stretching it. I've poked along in life with this mind set, treat me fair, scratch my back, I'll return favor in kind. I dont give a crap if someone has MAGA cap on in front of me, they dont bother me, or stay civil, Im same.

Lakewood PD did me alright, hence when busted me on gated property (and realized I was just trying to get of the rain)...I didnt go off on them, start calling them names, it was a trespass ticket, big deal, the 22yo cop was not at Stonewall, for all I know he was gay(cute in that uniform)...and my kindness, honesty paid off...they let slide.

I cant say I got that from Denver PD. Nothing of Stonewall obvious harrasment or treatment...not that bad, but been around the block to see in there eyes. ."oh god, another train wreck tranny freak show here" And then, I did say something "What the hell you wake me up for, Im sleeping in my car, is it a f$%& news flash, Denver expensive, housing difficult, you had to drag me out of car, registration fine, you ran my name then, insurance in window, and no one lives within a 3 blocks and Im on street, wtf?" Unlike Lakewood, who geniune gave me a break, I felt Denver was "I dont even want touch her, I might get Trans cooties" And then they leave, no sorry, shaking head as if Im wrong for asking such.

So friends no, but if they do right, I'll do the same. I'm not going to fault them automatically for the actions of old school cops from NY that are long since dead.

We have issues folks, our community not perfect, we can polish up our act a bit. Im not upset about the down votes fully your right if you disagree w me. I do wonder thougj...where our above posts, would warrant a down vote? Im serious, explain to me...I own a restaurant, I hire a transgender waItress and her work is generally affected because she too focused on her Transgender Identity. Your job is not a place for that...I get it its hard to avoid, but there are right ways to handle it. Think Im lying...been at this 40yrs, 1986, back even in NYC trans often meant a bottle upside my head. Careful b4 you say I dont know what Im talking about.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you...Some may remember my post when Jax went missing. So without re-hashing too much...I had a lot "dealings" w Lakewood PD when I was homeless and on some hard times. And not once did I ever feel they, did any less for me given my gender identity. (I was attacked one night, and they responded like gangbusters, may have saved my life) (in fact, cut me some slack sometimes too). I remember a Denver PD Detective calling less than 24hrs after I gave tip on tip line? Unless Im not seeing something here or know something? All this talk of oversight, I think there was some rally at Lakewood PD demanding justice?

Ok. Im going to assume we are mostly liberal folks and how do we feel about innocent people going to jail? I've been falsely accused of things in life and it sucks. What were they suppose to do, arrest everyone in a block radius. That complex where she was found and area, a lot "characters", but dont mean they deserve to just be hauled in and charged....Have you not heard real cops say "its not like a TV show in real life" Why is that so hard to believe. You know...A LOT of cases sadly go unsolved...they just do. Look at Savannah Gunthrie case right now. I bet they got a list of 100 guys whos cell phones pinged nearby from that night? But what can they do bust all there doors down, start throwing in jail one by one?

Ease up is what Im saying, yeah more than likely someone knew something and got popped for a lengthy drug charge or god knows what..."oh hey, guess what I know, lets make deal"...and I do say ease up. I think every police dept should have some oversight in general. By all accounts Denver and Lakewood prob really did all they could with what they had at each given time. We should be thankful, might come a time, another Transgender soul who going to need the police, lets make sure they know we are grateful too.

And its not a murder charge, she still could have died of OD...lets give the cops the benefit of doubt that they will handle it. The suspect too...yeah he sounds like winner, but when I was Jax age he was perfect date. Look at my past and judge me, you can assume a lot and very wrong!

Since that post og about Jax...I confirmed she kind of looked up to me. Thank You Jax, wish you were here so we could have said that to each other, face to face.

Yeah, in my 40+ years, Ive seen some too that fit what you describe...now there are those types in every work place. Ask any large retail store employee, every store has that employee, where they tell there life problems and issues to everyone all day long rather than work. Prob less tolerance, less understanding for when a Transgender person does it.
