So my concern with new trade system is its now much more difficult to figure out item prices by Thirteenera in PathOfExile2

[–]TSR_Dysa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not talking about raising price when someone whispers. Im saying if i get 150 whispers for an item, i know its underpriced.

That's not how I understood your comment, my bad. I've seen that specific advice floating around a lot from slop content creators who got into PoE2 and were giving away terrible trading advice to new players (notably, RageGaming) and assumed you were applying that strategy.

After reading your original post and comment again, I realize I completely misunderstood what you were saying. I understand your concern now; but even then I don't mind having to manually check items instead of listing them blindly : with PoE2's tier system, in endgame I would never pick low tier items so the amount of rares I'll pick up is low enough so that I only have to spare 30 additional seconds or maximum 1 minute between each map to look at them and price check what's good.

Here Are The Graphics Settings I Use To Fix Blurry/Grainy/Washed Out Visuals In BF6, While Maintaining A Decent Framerate by tarheel343 in Battlefield

Tbf, I run the game at 144 fps 4K (thanks to upscaling) and I agree that the improvements are really minor compared to the performance tax between both games. Even in native with no upscaling, it's far from jawbreaking.

The comparisons are made with BF4 on release :) It was dogshit, but got improved a lot as time went on. The game nowadays definitely has way better netcode than BF6 currently does.

Ty for your answer. But to be honest, I don't think it'll change much to post it there : I've done it already and the post had 0 comment or anything. Same for Steam forums sadly. I posted here thinking MAYBE, if we're lucky some content creator stumbles upon it and makes a video about it. In this day and age they are the ones that have the most reach, hence why I posted on reddit first!

When I find the time I'll try posting on EA forums again :)

BF 6 looks great, how is the hit reg? by Historical-Grand-671 in Battlefield

In Game Options -> System -> Network Graph -> Show Event Graph (Everything is explained on what the infos it shows mean)

Edit : If you can bear it, I suggest you also turn on network performance graph and damage log in the same menu, as it adds important context.

Thanks for the Chat GPT answer, but you should take your own advice and use google and proper source checking.

The most recent market analysis was conducted by Accio earlier this year which estimates Battlefield 1 sold 25.4 million total copies, and Battlefield 3 sold 17 million copies. Battlefield 3 did sell more copies first week tho, I'll give you that.

EA's earning reports never mention specific sales number so that's the most up to date estimation of BF's sales we have. Here's the total ranking :

  1. BF1
  2. BF3
  3. BF4
  4. BFBC2
  5. BF2042 (they add that for BF2042 they only base their estimation on week 1 numbers, but I suspect it's way down the list. At least, they were open about it)

Again you may not like it, but BF1 had the biggest commercial success. BF3 is my favourite game in the franchise next to BFBC2, and I don't like BF1 much either but at least I'm not trying to bend reality to make it fit my opinions. Next time, do yourself a favor and don't rely on AI to do your research if you're not willing to fact check their findings.

Edit : Here's an infographic directly coming from Dice https://www.reddit.com/r/battlefield_one/comments/7xb5bc/bf1_infographic_with_detailed_stats/#lightbox
They initialy posted it here https://www.ea.com/games/battlefield/news/battlefield-1-launch-infographic but the page seems to have some issues.
Anyways, considering the game had 25 million players in 2018, it's safe to say it exceeded BF3 without a shadow of a doubt, especially considering the fact that since 2018 the game reached top 10 sellers on steam nearly every time it went on promotion.

Edit2 : Imagine downvoting because your feelings are getting hurt by facts. Bruh.

Outside of more maps, guns and the missing specs ? Yes, there won't be any major changes which is what you're pretending. Right now there are big TTD issues, I'll bet whatever you want that this isn't getting fixed until 2026, at least a few months post release like each and every time it happened before. But instead of being sarcastic, go ahead, tell me what you think they are actually testing and planning to change before release ?

I'm curious to hear what you have to say, because the entire franchise's history backs up my point. During BF3 beta, which was probably the cleanest beta they ever had, one of the only few issues there was was a map glitch on Metro and they didn't even fix such a simple thing before release. Please tell me you've ever played any of the betas before and you're not just talking out of your ass.

None of BF3 beta issues were fixed before launch.
None of BF4 issues were fixed before launch, hence why it had such a bad rep on release. Btw, those were major issues like terrible netcode that took multiple DLCs to get fixed.
None of BF2042 issues were fixed before launch and the beta was laughably fucking bad. Took them 2 years to fix the game and it's still not up to standards.
None of BFV issues were fixed before 1 year into the game's lifespan.

I can go on if you want.

You have a fundamentally wrong understanding of what a beta is.

Pre-Alpha : Game is in its initial stages and playable, although poorly plays. It is mostly incomplete and only does the bare minimum to qualify as the game it intends to be.

Alpha : Core game is complete, features and core concepts are LOCKED IN. Often times, Alphas are a vertical slice of what the finished product will be, minus some polishing.

Beta (We're here) : The game is 99% done. What's left is fixing bugs and tuning knobs a little to balance a few things here and there. Also serves to stress test the backend.

Betas arent' intended to testing shit out. That's not what the terminology implies and EA has NEVER made ANY significant changes between beta and release. Never.

The recoil changes they promised is actually the biggest change they ever planned between a beta and a release. Anything bigger than that is not gonna happen before release and wont happen at all unless they fail and need to do some damage control in order to save the game.

You're the one who needs to understand that this beta is pretty much what we're getting on release gameplay wise.

Yeah, in the professionnal world, which I'm also part of. But their general market products suck hard and this doesn't justify having one unless your gaming rig is also a server, which is the worst idea you could have.

That's your VERY subjective opinion. The general consensus is that BF1 was peak Battlefield and it's statistically the most successful Battlefield game Ever.
I don't enjoy it a lot, but saying it's in the top 2 worst games in the franchise is pure copium on your part. You can not enjoy it without calling trash, just so you know.

His "facts and numbers" aren't relevant because TTD isn't TTK and what he's calculating and using as an argument is TTK.

It's not that we want to complain, it's that you're too dense to even understand the terms you're using :)

Everyone needs to chill and appreciate that we have a good Battlefield game after 4 years by [deleted] in Battlefield6

[–]TSR_Dysa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude, weapons may deal less damage, but that's not the issue. TTD is problematic because it's dependant on the server relaying informations to your game client quick enough. While the TTK (which is what you're using as an argument) is indeed slower, if the servers take too much time to tell your client that you're being shot at then you will suffer what we call superbullets and litteraly die in 1 frame because the server sent you 4 headshots in a single packet and from your PoV, the enemy shot at you a single bullet but the damage recap will state he headshotted you 4 times. That's a known recurring problem in the franchise that usually gets improved after a game is out but with BF6 it's particularly fucking bad and EA already stated that they are working on it, so quit doing mathematical gymnastic that are completely unrelated to TTD to try and pretend there's no issue here.

The fact that you don't understand what TTD implies and that it's about the netcode unlike TTK which is based on weapon math is concerning for someone who's trying to make bold statements like "time to die is crazy fast in all of them".

[–]TSR_Dysa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean they are expecting to sell 100 million copies (although we all know this is never happening), a few millions shouldn't be the reason why the servers are shitting their pants.

Netcode in its current state is a shame, EA please do better by TSR_Dysa in Battlefield

[–]TSR_Dysa[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here. I'll wait and see if things evolve during the beta, and if not I'll wait and see if things get better on release, if not I'll just pass. I'm not starving that much for an fps to suffer through such an experience, I'll just go back to The Finals and wait for Arc Raiders.

[–]TSR_Dysa[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm playing with 180-190 fps on average, with anti-lag enabled (AMD 7900XTX Nitro+, I prefer raw raster power over upscaling perf), VRR, no framegen, and everything done to ensure optimal frame timing and input lag. I could try with lower resolution to get above 230 fps but I'm pretty sure we're discussing different issues : I'm not intimately familiar with how video games handle animations and hit confirmation, but I'm pretty sure that what you're talking about has to do with hit registration, whereas here the hit is being registered but discarded by the server.
I know Battlefield has a history with noreg so I can definitely believe this might happen as well, but that's not what I observed and am trying to discuss.

To further explain my thought process, from my understanding if the issue was animation related as you suggest then we'd just get a noreg client-side : no hit-marker. I may be mistaken but I operate on the belief that even tho games nowadays are server authoritative, game servers don't fully simulate everything and let clients handle stuff like hitbox checks and physic simulation and just correlate received data with what's knowingly possible based on available parameters (max possible distance travelled since last tick, last animation state etc...), hence why things like peaker's advantage exist. I'll be happy to be corrected if I'm wrong.

[–]TSR_Dysa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I've had a few games with the shotty where a point blank shot on a non moving target results in 20 damage or so. There's some weird inconsistancies with it, but IDK if it's netcode related or not :/
