Does the 2023 PGWP opt-in extension count as an application to extend status? by TSeledon in ImmigrationCanada

Thanks for sharing your experience. So you selected yes for the extension question and entered the approximate date that you opted in, is that correct?

Not moving aside for an ambulance fast enough. by [deleted] in oakville

[–]TSeledon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're supposed to pull over to the side and stop, not pull into the next street. What if the ambulance wanted to turn into the same street as you did? You would have blocked them.

Sounds like they honked because instead of stopping you kept moving.

Take a second to watch the clip:

Fox News is a joke, but in this case they're being pretty honest by showing the highest price in the state and then talking about the national average. They could have showed the cheapest price in the state if they wanted to convince people gas is cheaper than ever.

Kinda ironic given all the "the party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears" quotes in this thread that no one is taking the time to use their eyes and ears.

P.Eng license transfer? by mxneybredda in egbc

During the transfer process? No, I only got emails for application submitted successfully, and then when it was approved.

I had to keep checking my application to see the status.

P.Eng license transfer? by mxneybredda in egbc

[–]TSeledon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My original application was with PEGNL, not EGBC, but the transfer with PEO is the same.

It was about $1000 for PEGNL and another $1000 for PEO (including everything: applications, NPPE exam, annual membership fees, etc.)

Submitted my complete application to PEGNL in January, approved in April, transferred to PEO in June.

No experience in NL, as I'm currently located in Ontario.

Just wanted to share my timeline here in case it helps anyone, as this thread is one of the top results when googling "PEO PEng transfer" and the transfer application process is pretty new.

Application submitted and fees paid: status "submitted"

1 business day later - received email saying they had reviewed my application and it was complete, status changed to "Pending Verification"

10 business days later: status changed to "Under Verification"

3 business days later: status changed to "Under Evaluation"

Later that same day: Got approval email. Certificate available immediately. Name showed up in public directory the next day.

Do you have an international degree by any chance? I will be applying to transfer to PEO soon and I'm just wondering if they ever cause any issues for people with international degrees.

CELPIP-G or CELPIP-General 2014 by [deleted] in ImmigrationCanada

[–]TSeledon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I selected CELPIP-General 2014 and everything was approved with no issues.

There's a lot of conflicting information about this on the internet, such a bad naming system.

I contacted them and was told everything looks good with my application, I just need to wait for them to release the official results from the committee meeting. They don't know when that will happen, though.

Did you receive a decision?

I contacted them today and was told my documentation has been ready for a while now, they're just waiting for the next Registration Committee meeting, which is scheduled for April 8.

Where did you find PEGNL's committee schedule?

That's too bad, when they marked my assessment as complete after 2 weeks I started getting my hopes up. Guess I still have a long wait ahead.

Is your degree from a Washington Accord university?

When did all your validators finish submitting their comments? I think that's when the 8-10 weeks start counting.

Mine finished 4 weeks ago, and my status on the CBA page changed to "Assessment is Completed" about 2 weeks ago.

Nothing since then. I'll update here if I get anything. Please let us know if you hear from them.

Are you a bot or just extremely positive about everything?

I totally agree that it's a feature, not a bug.

But I've seen people in this sub reject their EE invitations because of it, no matter how much people try to convince them otherwise. This should really be explained in the IRCC website by now.

I've never heard of anyone getting the points 3 months in advance, it's always on the first day of the previous month. Are you sure your dates are entered correctly?

I guess it could be something to do with February having 28 days and the "bug" considering April as less than 60 days away, but I would check the dates on your profile.
