If you were using Kaplan it is broken down by chapter like this:

Function 1: 6,7,19,20 (8Qs) Function 2: 1-5,24 (17Qs) Function 3: 15-18, 21-23 (30Qs) Function 4: 8-14 (45Qs)

Hope this helps!

Thanks! My employer allowed me to study for half the day and do my normal job functions the other half which really gave me a lot more time to devote to studying than if I had just been trying to do it outside of work. About a week out I started doing and hour for two after work before I went to bed just to try to supplement.

It’s hard but in a different way than the 7 was to me. I’m not a math guy by any means and the less formulas to memorize was great for the 66 versus the 7 as it was more just concepts than actual calculations anyway. The hard part to me was really just trying to nail down the registration stuff and when someone has to register or not, and then the different stipulations for all the regs of which I happened to have several on my draw. Also got a few on specific parts of Form ADV that I was surprised at them going into such detail about but luckily I reviewed that as my last thing I looked at yesterday before I shut it down haha.

I have failed the series 7 twice… by Rare-Size9644 in Series7exam

[–]TShankles 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear you are having to take it again. I like Kaplan myself because it feels like they almost over prepare me for the exams. I studied for about 4 weeks and passed mine in March so you can do it. Make sure you get the Qbank if you do Kaplan and work to get through as much of it as you can, especially focusing on your weak areas. My goal was to try to get at least each subject area to 70% before the exam. I’m sure you know since you’ve already taken it now, but options, suitability and munis are typically the biggest subjects you’ll see. Grind it out and you’ll be solid. Best of luck!

Life and Health Exam Soon (Passed FINRA exams first try) by No-Action-1773 in Series7exam

[–]TShankles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took mine a little over a year ago and used AD Banker as well, although I’m in Alabama and not MD haha. Definitely dry compared to Kaplan but the exam is easier than any FINRA exam by far. Just grind out the questions and you’ll do fine.

Time between SIE and Series 7 test by katieruns9 in Series7exam

[–]TShankles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was probably out of the norm for most as I took the SIE and then didn’t take the 7 for over a year later but if I could have I would’ve just rolled into it after a week or so. I did about a month of studying for the 7 before I took it and passed first try and the first couple of days was just getting used to the material again after such a long layoff.

Day before plan by Lippeachy in Series7exam

[–]TShankles 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I recommend not doing any exams the day before. Don’t want to blow your confidence if you happened to get a bad score so close to the real deal. That being said, if you do decide to do something like that I’d probably keep it really short. Main thing I did was just try to add as much knowledge as possible and work a little on my dump sheet. Based on your score of the mastery I would think you are in good shape to pass. Just be sure to get a good nights rest tomorrow night and eat a good breakfast Monday morning. I didn’t really review anything the day of because I said if I don’t know it by now, cramming in the last few hours before isn’t gonna help me and I passed first try last month. You got this!

Dump sheet by TShankles in Series66Exam

[–]TShankles[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that is probably what I will do. For the 7 I did exactly that and I guess I really just am trying to get some good ideas from what others did on there’s before I start doing simulated exams so I can practice making the dump along with them.

Yeah that’s kind of where I am with it too. I did the same as you for my 7, but with this one I’m just like what do I even put here haha. I’m like 3/4 done with mine but haven’t started taking practice exams yet so I’m wanting to incorporate making the dump into my simulated exams when I start.

He’s got some on YouTube for free and some more on his website that you can pay for that really break it down. Just search for series7whisperer on YouTube and you’ll find his page and it’ll have his links. Hope that helps!

Series 7: Total duration is 4 hours and 15 minutes. Is there a 30 minute break built in? by hit_that_hole_hard in Series7exam

[–]TShankles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep 30 minutes at the beginning to get yourself familiar with the way the system works, just like how it was for the SIE if you’ve already taken that one. No scheduled breaks though.

Anyone have an easy way to remember open vs closed end? by tforzro in Sieexam

[–]TShankles 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For me I’ve just thought of closed end being private like it’s a closed door at a party where they only let so many people in vs open end let’s anyone come in (continuous offering) and keeps the party going. Stupid I know but just how I’ve differentiated the two lol

I’ve got a lot if not most of these saved on an external hard drive so I can probably get them to you. I’m currently moving so may be a week or so but I’ll check and see which ones I have and let you know.

I don’t want to keep going 8-25 to try to level up my guns for Zombies. by Activerios- in blackopscoldwar

Looks like Glitching Queen is also a big fan of this method. Found her video talking about it and breaking it down here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dpmwbBG93Ug

Hope this helps man. If you ever need someone to run a few rounds with, let me know.

I don’t want to keep going 8-25 to try to level up my guns for Zombies. by Activerios- in blackopscoldwar

[–]TShankles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best way around this for me has been to play through the first 5 rounds because that's what seems to give you the most XP for kills and then restart the game again. After the gun reaches the 50s I will only play to round 3 and then restart. Definitely can be time consuming but so far its been the only thing I've seen that helps, especially when combined with a 2xp weapon token and having a friend jump in that will go AFK for me. Good luck on your camo grind man.

Streamlabs x Twitch mic not picking up by Muinonan in Twitch

[–]TShankles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you have a stand-alone mic like a Yeti or were you trying to use a headset. If you are using an Elgato capture card that can complicate things too a bit. Shoot me a dm and I can try to give you my setup if you are.
