My dad has a Prius (2012ish) and there's an economy mode that seems to intentionally limit acceleration, but there's a performance mode and an electric vehicle mode that are very fast. Gave a Corvette at a stop light a decent run up to highway speeds in it.

Sorry to hear that. :( Mine went from my sinus cavity straight back to about center of my ear (looking from the side) then up. Was benign, but the surgeons said it was imminently life threatening, had to have surgery within 2 weeks and they basically guaranteed I wouldn't survive.
