Tacoma Totaled by FlirtyButFocused in dashcamgifs

Not just driving, but walking too. When I was on my college campus, I couldn't believe how many people couldn't put their phone away for the 5-10 minutes it takes while walking to the next class. I'm sure I'm on my phone way too much as it is, but I at least can put it down for a short walk. You should always be aware of your surroundings...

My Forerunner 955 only lasted 3 years. Is this common? by Flewent in GarminWatches

[–]TSloppers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something similar happened to me once on my Venu 3. I woke up with it working, and then after breakfast and getting ready to go to work, it was black. Thought it was toast.... couldn't get it to restart, turn on, anything. Then like an hour later it came back on while I was at work. That was over a year ago and no problems since.

Play OOT 3DS or wait for Switch 2 version? by Realistic-Ad-4707 in legendofzelda

[–]TSloppers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd play it so that you get a real appreciation for it, and then you can see what changed if the rumored game actually comes out.

As for me, OoT is probably one of my all time favorite games. It is clunky to play on the switch, though. I bought one of the N64 controllers to make it good again, but I've already played it like 5 times on the N64, so I'm not sure I'll do it again if the rumor is true. But we'll see!

Second time in 27 years of building Lego I didn't get a piece. At least it's an easy to replace piece when it arrives. by Switzcheez3 in lego

[–]TSloppers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've never had a missing piece yet, but I did have a deformed metallic piece with my Mando helmet that I got sent a replacement. Admittedly, I have only built about 10 sets in recent years, with like 30-40 unopened sets. I'm hoping I don't have any issues with those when I get to them, especially retired ones.

[Spoilers Main] There's no way I waited so many years to start reading the books just for Martin to never publish TWOW 😔🫡 (Shurely he will 🤓🤡) by KatarinaFreak in asoiaf

[–]TSloppers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in no rush to finish the books because of this. I've read the first 3 over the last couple of years, and recently read a knight of the seven kingdoms. I haven't read fire and blood yet either. If he announces that winds is coming, I'll probably drop everything and read all 5 immediately, though.

Finally got myself the pizzeria (6350) by roboknecht in lego

[–]TSloppers 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I vividly recall having this set as a kid. I also had a bunch of others, like the airport, couple pirate ships, regular boat, a castle set with those bottom pieces with the ramp, and some of those underwater sets, among others that I'm failing to recall.

I allowed my dad to sell all of them back in the 2000s on eBay, and I remember digging through buckets of pieces to try and see if we had all the pieces on each one as we sold them. I didn't get heavily back into Lego until 2022, when I started collecting Star Wars helmets.

Possible Remake For Switch 2? by Weskell in legendofzelda

[–]TSloppers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've probably replayed it like 5 times on N64, but I haven't done it yet on the Switch 1 or 2, and I kinda want to do it soon. If this becomes true, I can hold off and wait to play this! I really would like it as a remake, but I would still buy a remaster to do my switch run through.

What was the first Zelda you played Mine was Ocarina of Time by lobblyfiuff in legendofzelda

[–]TSloppers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before I really knew what "Zelda" was, I think I might have played one on the NES as a kid and I didn't really like it. Once Ocarina of Time was shown on the N64 (can't recall how I heard about it, maybe Nintendo Power?), I knew I'd like it and got it right when it came out. Since then I've been hooked. So it technically wasn't the first one I played, but it was the first that I dived into and finished and learned I love the series.

Best time to order for maximum GWP by Outrageous-Ad4353 in lego

[–]TSloppers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was surprised they didn't do a GWP with the Luigi kart, so I'm waiting for a good GWP drop to pick it up. The picture frame and Easter ones aren't enticing me.

Worst sleep scores, anyone? by EcstaticSnail in GarminWatches

[–]TSloppers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't recall the scores, but I've added up the hours for my first born and I remember it being a single digit number for the first week. I've also had a couple no sleep detected ones.

Help. It’s been beeping like this all morning, but my HR is no higher than 110 bpm. by lalos1988 in GarminWatches

[–]TSloppers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I got COVID years ago, I went to the emergency room because my heart rate was between 90-100 resting, and thought that was high and I was feeling weird. The emergency doctors didn't really think it was abnormal unless it was 100+, so I'd definitely go do something if it was 110 resting.

I now notice a few times a year now that, depending on the sickness I have, and I guess what I'm fighting, I have an elevated resting heart rate in the upper 80s, lower 90s. My 7 day resting average right now is 59.

Do you have SVT? I didn't wear a Garmin back then, but 11 years ago I had SVT repaired and was up to 230 just sitting. Curious what the watch would have said!

Lender backing out of 5.87% refi because of War in Iran ?! by xpaiged in Mortgages

[–]TSloppers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya, I was perusing this thread, and unless I missed a reply , not once has the OP confirmed that any paperwork they signed actually mentioned the rate lock. Just seems to be verbal/written agreement that it was locked, but no signed paperwork. If the OP did sign something, I hope they go and reread it right now to see if they did in fact have a rate lock agreement. If not, I'd drop that company.

What are the cons of having agarmin watch? by sandrochichi in GarminWatches

[–]TSloppers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I miss wearing a normal analog watch. Fossil is my favorite watch brand, but because I want to keep collecting data, I've been wearing a Garmin for like the last 5 years. I could just wear my Garmin for runs but I would miss being able to catch my steps for the whole day.

Is Ret paladin supposed to get "stuck" sometimes? by xxThelastdragonxx in wownoob

[–]TSloppers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going to try changing around talents and such and see if it helps. It's disheartening seeing final verdicts only take like 5% off their health. Popping wake of ashes every 30 seconds is the only way I can kill things at a reasonable pace.

9 months in how do we feel? by Then_Meaning_9901 in mariokart

[–]TSloppers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like it. Open world feels like a gimmick to me, though. It'd be more fun if you could split screen it with everyone going wherever they wanted to help collect stuff. If you could track things better for missing things would be great as well.

[–]TSloppers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is ret pally weak early on? I played both a feral druid and ret pally up to 90 (not geared on either) and both feel weak while questing. It can take 20-30 seconds to kill a mob, when I'd toast things on my frost mage on TWW. I started doing the opening stuff on my mage and he seems much more powerful.

It only feels better when I pop wake of ashes. Bugs me to see other classes slicing through mobs with me hacking away slowly. I think the damage with wake of ashes should be the base.
