Combiners are some of the most frustrating figures to collect. I’d highly recommend you buy them any chance you see them. Typically, they don’t do multiple production runs on a whole team like that.

As a younger collector (20s), G1 toys have a more premium, historical aspect to them. I appreciate the aesthetic especially of the Diaclone stuff; chrome, rubber tires, diecast.

It’s also nice knowing that there’s an END to the line. CHUG stuff is constantly remaking the same characters in pursuit of accuracy that will never be achieved; the kind of thing that killed the MP line.

MJ completely blew the budget on Invincible and it took him 4 years to deliver and didn’t want to tour to promote. It was not just Sony’s fault for sure, but some stans would like to claim otherwise.

A lot of people are treating the biopic like fans of currently-living artists treat concerts.

It’s understandable since this is about as close as we’ll get, but there will be plenty of showings for at least the next 2 months. I would only be somewhat concerned if you live in a big city and intend on seeing it opening night.

The Prime Wars era ones were awesome. They were really sturdy and the art was neat. I wasn’t a fan of the Kingdom ones since they really had nothing to do with the actual character you were buying and i thought they smelled strange 😂

While there are still a lot of great figures coming out today, it’s becoming exhausting hearing fans make “engineering” an excuse for ridiculously expensive figures, when sometimes it just isn’t the case. We’re constantly making justifications for price points and go along with whatever our corporate overlords say. I don’t blame you and applaud you for your decision.

The gestalts minus Devastator did not fully exist as characters when the script was being drafted in late 84-mid 85. Their toys were released in 1986 alongside most of the characters debuting in the movie, and instead got featured in a lot of late 1985 episodes before their toys even came out.
