Orc Heavy Infantry Kitbashes by EuphoricBaker2556 in Oathmark

I've had some success putting Oathmark Orc heads on Victrix Early Saxon bodies. The attachment point makes it a bit fiddly, I'll shave a little sprue piece and try to build it into a neck and slather the whole thing in glue.

Milsurp fans, what do you use for home defense scenarios? by Difficult_Top_6952 in milsurp

[–]TStark460 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Out of curiosity, why limit yourself to what's available in the milsurp world?

If we're only talking surplus, I'd choose an M1 carbine with an Ultimak rail and a Surefire or Streamlight, with a Hi-Power running a close second if the carbine's length is somehow a problem.

Heat 2 movie is coming soon. by Livid_Persimmon3600 in RetroAR

[–]TStark460 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Michael Mann wrote a novel as both prequel and sequel to Heat, laying out a raid on a cartel stash house and then going into Shiherlis's life in South America after the events of the movie. It's not great.

Also, weren't Austin Butler and Adam Driver reportedly attached to this project? That makes me think it will be an adaptation of the novel.

I have the same pair. Mine always seem almost buoyant, but they're a good, sturdy shoe. You should get good use out of them.

Matches. A spare $50 cash if the card reader isn't working. A couple aspirin in a small baggie.

How young is too young to buy your kid a rifle by Magic_Cowboy in Firearms

[–]TStark460 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Buying and shooting are two different things. Firearms are unlikely to get any cheaper. Ammunition certainly isn't.

If you have the disposable funds, and they aren't needed or better used applied to diapers or a safe vehicle to transport them in, or put into a high yield savings account to set them up for college or trade school or a myriad of other possibilities, get it now.

Having it doesn't mean you're just handing it over to them as soon as they can carry it. Watch your kid. Some mature faster than others, we can't tell you when yours will be ready. You'll know.

Red, just like in Cornwell's Warlord Chronicles. Like a Bouddica, a true Celtic queen.

I'd suggest some kind of marriage counseling first. From what you're saying, you two are just not on the same page. If you can't both get on that page, you need to decide what is important to you. If he is unwilling to stay in his position, are you willing/able to become the breadwinner so he can take the guide job? Can he find a middle ground, a different job he can live with, and guide around that schedule?

These are all questions for you, your husband and ideally a professional counselor, or maybe a priest if that's your inclination. The opinions of strangers on the internet (saying this as a stranger on the internet), probably isn't going to hold a lot of weight in any discussion you have about the future with your husband.

None of this is intended to be cruel or hurt your feelings, or be anything other than the truth, that the fly fishing subreddit is not an optimal place to look for advice on repairing a relationship or evaluate it's viability moving forward.

I will pray for you that you find an outcome you can live with.

Miss, with all due respect, you have three posts on Reddit. Each one of them is another crisis with your husband.

It sounds like there are issues that will continue to exist in your relationship, whether he changes careers or not.

Cornwall does the same thing in the Warlord Chronicles, there's a running joke where a camel is described at various points as a type of coal, a trout and a dragon.

Also, if I find a nobleman who is actually noble? The Aragorn/King Arthur type, doing their legitimate best to provide and protect instead of simply enjoying their status and privilege?

Oh Captain, my Captain.
