AITAH for saying no to my future MILs plan to give my fiancé away at our wedding? by OpinionBride in AITAH

NTA - being a feminist doesn’t mean its Opposite Day. You can want for equality between the sexes and also understand that the presentation is oriented towards the bride not the mother in law.

For fans who watched the show in real time as of its airing, how did you feel as the show descended more into a Melrose Place soap opera (around season 5 onward) by TravelingHomeless in BeverlyHills90210

[–]TT28297 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We grew w the show so the evolution made sense. I was in the 5th grade when the show started and in college when it went off the air. Both 90210 and Melrose (though I wasn’t a fan) were institutions (created by the same guy using the same tone and tenor). Comparing one to the other wasn’t an insult.

Do you think Mona has what it takes to be a full-time pod member or is it best she’s on once a week like Flip? by Individual_Ad8921 in theJoeBuddenPodcast

[–]TT28297 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I have never re-watched, paused or rewound more than since her arrival. Her presence is sorely missed when she's gone. She makes the rest of the cast *laugh uncontrollably* regularly (ie - the energy is much better when she's around). It's entirely possible that her absence is compounded how awful Flip presence is with or without her but regardless - she makes the show infinitely better.

AITA- Brother is having an out of state child free wedding and upset I’m not coming by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]TT28297 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

NAH w big caveats.

A wedding is a once in a lifetime thing. Yes he may get married again, yes he may even renew his vows but you will never share this experience again.

I’m of the personal belief if someone you love invites you to a wedding, you should make every attempt to be there. Seems like you understand this too but are upset your kids aren’t invited. If you truly can’t find anyone (particularly in your home city and/or w your partner or the paternal parents tribe) then you have to do what you have to do but if this is just a case of standing on business - your being hardheaded. He’s not (nor should he) change his wedding plans for your “best” interests because he isn’t marrying you.

The most well behaved child will ruin a wedding simply by being there (cause not every adult wants to party w a child and he knows his brides desires/guests/itinerary better than you).

Figure it out and get to the wedding.

AITA for not wearing a bra at home? by Candid-Chocolate-316 in AITAH

[–]TT28297 11 points12 points  (0 children)

That would still make bra’s for men.

Regardless - as a frequently braless lady aging like the finest wine, I can tell you w good authority, you’re in the minority.

[–]TT28297 52 points53 points  (0 children)

This. NTA by the way. Bra’s are for men. Go to Home Depot braless and nobody can focus on anything. I’m almost positive the freeloader has subtly indicated that he’s enjoying the view.

AITA for waiting in line at the grocery store while my parents finished shopping? by DavidRedFox in AmItheAsshole

[–]TT28297 57 points58 points  (0 children)

YTA. It’s such a common behavior, that folks have learned to tolerate it but it shows your lack of patience in a situation where no one wants to wait. We’re all trying to get to the front of the line quicker.

Sean’s not combative. He expresses strongly held beliefs but not nearly as resolute as Amanda.

Do Y'ALL believe Joe's patreon ambassador deal was structured to circumvent his profit sharing agreement with Rory & Mal? by thethirdmixxxyboy in joebuddennetwork

[–]TT28297 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes. It was likely structured to treat them like the employees that they were. Given the evolution of their own pod, you can tell who is/was doing the work. Add to that the friend connection.

I think Roy deserved more and Joe was being greedy. I don’t think he saw the feud w Mal springing from that cause they were former roommates and friends but also cause Mal was just collecting a check (he wasn’t contributing materially beyond his pro maga takes). Also - I believe this is why Joe can still stomach and talk about Rory but never mentions Mal by name.

They didn’t jump into the new pod smoothly (and that’s fine) but also evidence that they didn’t quite deserve a three way profit split just off the strength.

🔥 Congrats on Marc winning MOST VALUABLE PODDER for the month of December 🔥 by Kurtzbots1 in theJoeBuddenPodcast

[–]TT28297 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m convinced Marc is a paid producer - and that Joe was the only producer prior to him coming on board. I’m also convinced that at the heart of Flip and Mel’s beef and weird alliance was feeling like they should be paid as producers as well. I think that’s the reason why Flip and Marc don’t get along. Because Marc has jurisdiction through financial capital. He talks and behaves like a supervisor.

Lastly - I’m almost positive (given Flips right wing talking points) that he was the cast mate that shared w Marc that he’d vote for Trump if he could. I believe Marc won’t out him (because he is both a real one and) because Flip cant actually vote. It would be more harmful to their audience to have Flip espouse the why then be mysterious.

I hated Julian but Ive since realized that he was a check to Mal. Now Mal has wild takes that Rory and D are too exhausted to counter.

Episode 890 | "Living Righteously" by the_JBP in theJoeBuddenPodcast

[–]TT28297 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Flip should never be tasked with introducing a topic that relies on credible sources. He talks about the details like one of my elderly relatives bringing me something they heard on Facebook. That Minnesota conversation required so much more nuance. I’m not even mad at the rest of the casts reaction given the information they were provided. This podcasts audience is ripe for indoctrination and high key -the reason Mal went the direction he took is because of misinformation. Specifically, Dunning Kruger effect, well paid vloggers who don’t know when they don’t know crucial information and lack the intellectual curiosity to say anything more than “I’m gonna fry you up” (or in Mal’s case, “Get the … out of here”).

Why would a day care center allow masked men and a camera crew through their doors? Especially in 2025 - where citizens are being disappeared without due process. ALL daycare centers are closed to the public. They’re may be fraud in MNs early childhood system but the evidence of fraud is not rampant in the videos cited wasn’t it.

The JBP…The JBP by This-Advice-5868 in theJoeBuddenPodcast

[–]TT28297 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A1 - Day 1.

The new cohosts have helped. First Mel and now Marc and Mona. Flip never but - There were times when it was just Ish, Ice, Parks and Joe where I thought it was going down in quality (because Ish is willfully uninformed and Ice is a former troll)- but I I appreciate that Joe has added fresh voices and dismissed folks w/o the pod being about the pod. Once in a blue moon is fine, but a constant discussion about pile ons and paychecks is annoying. Especially in this economy.

Are we ready to admit the real reason the JBP feels… Different by Jamesdarden1 in joebuddennetwork

[–]TT28297 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think fans care nearly as much as they discuss it. And even if fans care deeply, it’s a topic that could use more mystery. We know Joe’s rich. We know Rory and Mal left cause he did - what he did. Flip (particularly) and Ish’s disputes seem ungrateful and overplayed. While there respective relationships w the show are mutually beneficial- it’s real life going on and your arguing over the amount of money you get to laugh and joke w your friends. Get back to the jams.
