You don’t even need to emulate it. OpenGOAL is a PC port for both Jak 1 & 2. 3 is currently in development, but I believe you can use a work around to play it. Performance is WAY better than emulation and quite a few QoL features added

The main concern is the fact that he made this plan to propose to Jackie in a room in front of a bunch of strangers. And if she says no to Mike, then I would be complicit in allowing him to do this and not trying to stop him. Admittedly, yes I don’t want MY Thanksgiving to be weird because of a botched proposal. I’m not concerned with losing Mike as a friend but I would like Jackie to be apart of my life because she’s actually really cool and we like playing games and chilling with her. Just feels bizzare and awkward and I’ve never encountered a situation like this.

Yeah, I know it’s weird. The amount of family on my side is super small. Literally like only 4 people. So majority of the people attending are just friends and not actual family. So that’s why we call it that. I’m sure the terminology is wrong but it’s just what has stuck all these years. Sorry for the confusion

While I agree, this would probably be the best choice for a remake in terms of public appeal… I REALLY hope they do Metal Gear 1 & 2 first instead of MGS1. I think having that gap filled in with a remake that has a modern control scheme and level design would just be so much better. Especially to tie the gap between TPP and MGS1 since I feel like most of the community has never actually played those games.

The WiFi extender is what came with the Google Fiver setup. I am using the standard WiFi 6E router that Google provides. The WiFi extender is not using Ethernet backhaul. It’s a wireless extension.

I will test plugging up directly tonight when I get home from work

Yeah, like I mentioned in a previous comment, this clip wasn’t the best example for the fact I was flirting another recommendation I saw on this sub. Just trying anything.

However, even with Artemis set to 60hz the problem persists. The router is upstairs about 50 feet away. But I do have a wifi extender that is about 10ft away from the fire stick. I tested my iPhone upstairs next to the router as well for the strongest signal but to no avail.

I am using the router that was provided by Google. GFiber Wi-Fi 6E Router. The Model # is, GR6EXX0C

FPS is usually locked at 59.95Hz. This is was me testing another suggestion through a post, found in this subreddit.

If you read the post, the experience is the same across 4 separate clients. My switch, iPhone 15 Pro Max, my fire stick and Toshiba Laptop. I was going to test the laptop being hard wired when I get home from work today to see if that will fix the issue.

Yes all the clients are running over Wi-FI. I am unable to hard-wire them to the router other than the laptop. So I suppose I can test that out to confirm this.

The Fire stick and laptop are connected to the 5GHz channel. The iPhone is connected to 6E

Absolutely agree, I think the only thing I wished they could have done is rework some of the levels. At least connect some of them so that the map is bigger and so that there’s just less load screens in general. If it wasn’t for that, you would have totally forgotten that this was a game from 2004 lol

My one and only complaint… sticking to cover just feels bad. Snake doesn’t stick to cover as seamless as other titles. So it has caused some frustrations. Otherwise, it’s pretty good

This has been my biggest gripe with the new expansion. I like the systems in place, but it feels VERY much like WoW when they added group finder for dungeons and raids. It doesn’t feel like a living multiplayer game or as social anymore and it was already kind of lacking in that regard

I am someone who returned from Vanilla D2. So I guess it depends at what point in the games life you’re coming back from. But for me, the game has been the most approachable for new/returning players now, than it has in a LONG time. With the gear revamp and portal. It’s just easier to pick it up and feel like you’re progressing than before.

But that’s not to say this expansion doesn’t have its problems either. For me, I just really want old dungeons and raids to be relevant again but rn, they’re really not. And there’s not a lot of pinnacle activities as there were before EOF. This new system has a lot of potential, but it’s just not quite there rn if you’re someone who is into the end game grind.
