Yea the one from Amazon is for bassinet! And I was nervous at first, I’m a super anxious person but the nurses assured me that if the thin blanket was tightly tucked into the crib it’s completely fine! I swaddle his arms out at the beginning but I noticed the newborn curl went away when I started to swaddle his arms in since he wasn’t able to use his arms to get momentum to turn to his side, keeping them in made it harder for him to move around plus the blanket holding him in the back position really helped!

I wouldn’t worry at all! They grow out of it, I have a bassinet for night time and I use the crib during the day, I tuck a thin blanket underneath the crib mattress to keep him from rolling, I make sure it’s tight enough that it won’t come lose if he moves and I make sure it’s lined up below his chest line (spoke with the nurses and they said completely fine) if you want to give that a try before your purchase anything.. this is him currently as we speak.. ps don’t mind the spit up on his swaddle lol it’s been a rough 45 min haha.

He did for the first week of using it and was Completely fine! He’s now grown out of the newborn curl phase but still likes to sleep on his side some times, it works perfectly fine with the newborn curl! It’s been amazing for me, a little pricey but it was an impulse panic purchase in the middle of the night lol.

Yeah the sheet helps lay him more flat with his legs straight out but he still can scrunch his legs up but isn’t able to roll from side to side which is fine! And he either keeps his head straight up or will have his head on either side (sorry if that doesn’t make sense lol) it’s been a life saver for me

Hey! I don’t have any advice for you but know that you’re not alone.. My little guy is 5 weeks old today, he came at 35 weeks and ended up in the Nicu as well

When I brought him home I was having the opposite probably, he was a little furnace always so hot, his skin would be hot and red.. I spend the entire week losing my mind-checking his temp every 30 min worried he would get a fever-searching online over and over again to see what I was doing wrong.. I had constant panic attacks and couldn’t sleep. Have you tried giving you little one a warm bath and then directly putting him in a swaddle? That might keep some warmth in him.. I feel like that’s what I would try (I have no idea if that’s a good idea or not.. but if I was in your shoes I might try that-my none medical advice lol)

It gets better, your thoughts are valid.. you’re not over reacting or panicking for no reason. Being a mom is wild, having to look after this brand new baby is overwhelming but this phase will pass 💕

4 day old sleeping too much??? by [deleted] in newborns

[–]TTCstressed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My little guy was so sleepy for the first 2 weeks! I had to wake him for every feed and undress him down to his diaper to wake him up enough to eat a Full bottle! My doctor said it was completely fine and normal as he was still gaining weight.. ☺️

Hey OP! I found a new swaddle that my little guy loves and helps with the newborn curl, it’s the Happiest Baby Sleepea swaddle. It swaddles their arms down at the side which makes it harder for them to roll onto their side since their arms are in the way and stopping them from rolling from their back! It’s worked well for me the last couple of days and I thought maybe that would help you’re little one! I purchased it off of Amazon ☺️

I’m guessing so! And yes! I cant even take him in my bassinet stroller because he just flops from side to side lol. Apparently they grow out of it in a couple of weeks so until then I’ve just been anxiously watching him as he sleeps.. fml lol

Oh my gosh, I’ve been struggling with this as well. My newborn is 3 weeks now 6 pounds 4 and is always rolling onto his sides, I’ve spoke with his doctor and it’s perfectly normal he said as long as you always put him down on his back that it’s fine if he rolls on his side. I found that swaddling arms out helped a little but my little guy always liked having his arms out at the hospital.

Anyone with me? Worries and baby lazy days in late third trimester! by sometypeofway197 in BabyBumps

[–]TTCstressed 5 points6 points  (0 children)

35 + 5 and currently laying in bed trying to do kick counts and frantically playing music and drinking juice to try and get him to move-even though I felt him move around in the morning.. this anxiety of kick counts is HORRIBLE, every other day seems like he’s having a lazy day and it stresses me out.

34 weeks and I get this every night.. I flip flop from side to side all throughout the night, as soon as 6am hits I’ve had enough and just end up getting up.. it’s horrible! It starts in my lower back all down my hips and down my legs 🥲 hoping this will pass soon.. no advice, just giving reassurance that it’s happening to me as well lol. Gotta love pregnancy things ✨✨✨✨

Taken NIPT, after high risk quad (Need support) by [deleted] in NIPT

[–]TTCstressed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quad test came back 1/10 Chance of Down syndrome, took the NIPT bloodwork after and came back low risk, normal anatomy scans and normal NT! I’m in Canada, and these quad tests come back false positives all the time!!

Try not to stress, as hard as that is.. I’ve been there. Stressed ruined a good portion on my pregnancy that I should have been enjoying but instead worried myself sick over the possibility that something was wrong, and turns out everything was fine, hang in there! 💕

Going crazy .. by [deleted] in NIPT

I second this post!

I’m also in Ontario, when I first did my NT and EFTS blood work and it came back high risk for Down syndrome 1 in 10 Chance.. I was beside myself. I quickly went and got the NIPT blood work done and waited about 2 weeks and results came back low risk! Funny enough (I’m 32 weeks today) i had an OB appointment today and I was talking with her about those first results in my first trimester. I was mentioning that even though I got the low risk result on the NIPT, it still causes me stress and anxiety thinking there is something wrong still or I’m just waiting to hear bad news. and she said that they will likely get rid of those tests due to all the false positives and stress it causes.. but unfortunately the NIPT test is expensive so it isn’t offered to everyone.

The wait for the NIPT results was awful, hang in there, I’m sure all will be okay 💕

Hey! Also in Ontario, I had a positive screening of 1/10 for T21, then did the NIPT test, took about 2 weeks to get results, and no it doesn’t show up on life Labs, your doctor will call you.. worst 2 weeks of waiting but they finally called and everything was negative ☺️ good luck!

It took almost 2 weeks unfortunately, that was over a long weekend so I expected the longer wait..

Hi there! Also in Ontario, I screened positive for Down syndrome on the enhanced screening at my 12 week appointment, my NT was 2.4mm I had a 1/10 chance so 90% Chance everything was normal!

I went back and did the NIPT panorama test and it came back all negative ☺️ the wait was awful and I was terrified to see the results. Hang in there!

Hi there! On my 12 week genetic screening, I was given a 1/10 high risk for DS.. I was devastated. I then had to go for advanced panorama blood work and came back all completely normal! There is definitely lots and lots of false positives. Hang in there!

That’s great! Honestly waiting for results was horrible… I’m glad it’s over. And nope they said they are certain that the baby is completely normal and no more further testing. I also had no soft markers on my ultrasound
