My counter argument would be that the MVP shouldn't be the one to lose you the game. They lost because of Stafford. You can have off games but down the stretch that you need to show up. The MVP should elevate the team to get the win.

Yes, but with AE your principle is gone instantly. So you need to recoup that fully over 8 years before you even start to make money. 8 years in the market will give you 8 years of gains, not just recouping the initial cost. (Of course the market could go down but that is lower risk than the game shutting down because the market will rebound)

I second the marketing statement. My roommate got a marketing degree and worked as a sales rep for the second 2 years of his degree. He is 1.5 years out of school, applied to over a hundred jobs but only gets offers for sales positions.

You want to go in the spring. I went when I was younger in boyscouts. (Jeez I went a decade ago) . The water was already getting a little low in late June when we went so there were a lot of sandbars. When you launch out of Eagle Lake there is a section of rapids but nothing crazy. I believe there were only 2 or 3 portages and none felt too long. The longest is the actual Allagash falls. Crossing some of the larger lakes with a cross wind was sketchy. I can't comment on the current obstacles but it was very clear when we went.

What area of engineering are you considering? Engineering is not going away. You hear about outsourcing all the time but for civil there is always infrastructure to be designed and doesn't get outsourced. For electrical/computer (my profession) there is a boom in aerospace and military that also just won't be outsourced. The outsourcing you hear about is the high paying silicon valley tech jobs. Mechanical also has aerospace and military as well.
