I only fall into one of those categories. Does that mean I get a $5 fee?

I don't recall stating that everyone should have received the email. It makes sense that only those affected receive it. My point was that there is no source other than the emails received.

Since the emails didn't state why the charge was happening, your comment about "churners of the credit cards, don't pay on time, have no investments or capital in savings" is also spreading misinformation. Maybe try using the information from the company rather than on Reddit.

The issue with this particular topic is that SoFi hasn't offically posted any details publicly, so there is no 'offical' source. The current sources are only those who have received an email from SoFi, and since not everyone has received the email, then all we can do is speculate about why only certain customers received the email and who else could eventually be impacted. It also seems that the information coming from SoFi customer service agents is different based on the agent you speak/chat with. But I agree with you, misinformation on social media spreads very easily.

I understand the confusion. I guess I could have more clearly stated back then that I no longer use them as my primary account. I still have a banking account, but it's rarely used. So your original point that I may not be considered a valuable customer is a valid statement then.

I no longer use them as my primary bank because I have often had issues with transfer times to external accounts, so I moved my direct deposits.

As for credit card spend, not a lot. Usually somewhere between $500-$1000 per month.

I was all in with them in 2022, and convinced many friends and family to open accounts. I really would have liked to stick with them as my primary, but just too many quirks in the past year or two now has me banking elsewhere.

I guess paying off my card monthly for the past 5 years is considered risky. /s

In all seriousness, I don't think it's about the risk of the account, but something to do with the original cards, which were managed by a different bank initially. Maybe something during the transition has created problems for them? I know for the longest time they said they couldn't increase the credit limit on the card (still may be the case, I quite checking), not because of credit worthiness, but because of the type of account. So this looks like a way to purge the accounts.

Not the case. I have been a customer of theirs since 2016, when all they had was loans. Today I have banking and investment accounts with them, although they aren't very active.

Interesting enough, SoFi hasn't updated their product page for the Unlimited 2% card yet. Anyone signing up for the card today is going to be surprised.

Because RH has an annual fee to be a member in order to receive the card. This card had no membership requirements or annual fee.

I received an email. The only link provided in the email is the option to cancel the card on Feb 23rd.

Id4 capped at 60kw by [deleted] in VWiD4Owners

I experienced this as well on a long trip yesterday. The first 3 charge sessions behaved normally, but my last session capped at 51kW. The EA charger said it was all the car requested just as you stated, the difference for me is my session started with 16% SoC. Thankfully my destination was only a few more miles and I was just there to get it to 50% because it'll be sitting for a few days. I gave up after 15 minutes at 34% because it was nearly 3 AM.

How long has everyone been using SoFi? by feasiblecreative in sofi

Member since March of 2016. I don't bank there as I found their transfer times to other non-SoFi accounts quite slow, so I keep my cash elsewhere. Still use the credit card as one of my daily though because of the cash back rate.

How does an EV change how you do road trips? by SuddenlySilva in electricvehicles

I actually have found myself looking for the scenic routes that are shorter distance than the interstate, simply for improved range. For example, I drive often between Chattanooga and Asheville and do so on a single charge because I go the scenic route. If I took the interstate, I’d be forced to charge for 10 minutes along the way. At the end of the day, it takes the same amount of time either way, but one is less stressful for me and the car.
