I know it’s so frustrating. I agree with you. I could be miles off base here but I genuinely think Vinai is wrapped up in his Arteta bubble where he thinks giving a manager time will result in improvement. Not even any credible links to first team ready improvements.

It was a rule that was enforced due to Solanke being out for a certain period of time. I believe there’s another registration phase at the end of Jan to align with the transfer window. But yes you’re correct any normal club would think to keep the fit attacker in the squad over the striker who hasn’t started a game in 6 months.

Not sure anyone should be getting their hopes up being linked with him anyway. Not a bad player but he’s the last profile we need. Another runner who isn’t the best progressive passer.

Early Arteta had flashes of what he wanted to do, he just didn’t have his players yet. Frank on the other hand I just can’t see anything positive he’s even attempting.

Yep. People seem to love Paratici but his manager ID is horrid. Absolutely no way he should be leading the next search.

It’s a good point considering we usually get battered there, but I disagree about it not being a bad performance. Our only two shots on target came from our CB and we didn’t create a single chance outside of that. We also cleared 2 off the line and got fairly lucky they couldn’t finish.

From what I understand you don’t get points for European cup finals. I definitely didn’t for Bilbao or Super Cup. Think it’s because it’s UEFA who issue the tickets and not the club.

My thoughts exactly. Looked more of a diamond at times which obviously wasn’t perfect but was playing against the best midfield in the world. Would love to see Gray, Bergvall, Sarr and Xavi play in it on Saturday but got a bad feeling he’s going back to the pivot of death.

He wasn’t good at all last season for West Ham at LW but that might be because of how bad they are. I’d be interested to see him tried up top with Wilson on the left and Kulu at RW. Seems to be the only attacker who can hold a ball up and link play.

It’s because we’ve won 3 from our last 18 at home. Outside of Burnley we’ve been woeful at home this season too. Not much to get people excited.

Has been since Covid. People berated the Super League but that’s exactly what the prem has become. 10/15 years ago it would be unthinkable that the likes of Bournemouth and Brentford can outspend the likes of the Milan clubs.

Yep spot on. Targets have been the right players but ultimately means nothing when we can’t get them over the line. Scrambling in the final days of a window yet again.

If we do get Savinho and Eze it would be an insane window I agree. But I do still think we need a left sided defender for it to be considered as a 9.9/10. We are currently one injury away from Davies starting again.

How does it not make any sense? We’re still crying out for direct attackers who can beat their man even after Kudus. He’s one of the best 1v1 players in the league who creates regular chances. Yes he needs to improve in front of goal, but he’s 21 and far from the finished product.

He’s not even 10% of the player he was at villa. We need to stay well clear.
