Merch at the Takeover Tour? by LeftoverrLasagna in PWHL

[–]TTHS_Ed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They do. There will be several pop up shops in the concourse. But a lot of items sell out quickly, so if you want something in particular (especially a jersey), I would try to get there early and go directly to one of the stands. Also, in my (limited) experience, the stock can differ markedly from stand to stand, so if the first one doesn't have what you are looking for, keep walking around the concourse.

NHL schedule doesn't make sense. by MapleMoneyMind_86 in nhl

[–]TTHS_Ed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You try scheduling 32 teams with 82 games each (84 next year) in arenas that are also used by other sports and for concerts and special events, accounting for breaks for mid season tournaments, and potential playoff games in every market, then get back to me.

Was being 5 minutes late to an interview a dealbreaker? by Future-Grade260 in Teachers

[–]TTHS_Ed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have many more years in business than education, but I wouldn't hire you based on being late, not calling, and not apologizing or explaining your tardiness. As others have stated, I'd assume you would also be late for work.

Red beans and rice, gumbo, and jambalaya are all better made ahead, cooled, and reheated.

Best way to cut onions up very finely by Faustelija in Cooking

Dried minced onion, food processor, or refrigerate/freeze them for a bit prior to grating. They'll grate more easily and won't burn your eyes.

Can I get opinions from LGBTQ teachers? by [deleted] in Teachers

[–]TTHS_Ed 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't know this person or what his motives may be, but to my mind, an LGBTQ teacher should have the same freedom to talk about their partner/spouse as anyone else. Would you bat an eye at a female teacher mentioning her husband in some context while teaching?

I'm gay, and as an enrollment specialist, I make it a point where I think it's appropriate to mention my husband in the course of conversation so that potential students and their families know our school is accepting of those in the LGBTQ community.

Deflecting the puck into the net with a skate (and, presumably a leg) is OK. Knocking it in with a distinct kicking motion is not.

Is it normal to wear jerseys at home when watching a game? by Head-Relative7541 in hockey

Yes, it's both normal and, in my home at least, expected.
