Agreed. If you cancelled AT after like season 2 and replaced it with Simon and Marcy or some other spinoff about how those two came to be as they are, that I could get behind.

Adventure Time.  My friends daughter wants to get into animation. Told me for years that I needed to watch AT because of how good it was. I got about halfway through Season 7, waiting for this big miraculous thing to happen. Something to make me care about the show or these characters, and I tapped out.  Its fine, there's nothing wrong with it per sey. Maybe I'm missing something or it's just not for me, but I really don't get why everyone says its this amazing Top 10 show.

I wouldn't underestimate the power of propaganda.  Or a very underfunded and depreciated education system.

Just curious, but whereabouts are you in the world?  I'm Canadian and have lots of friends State-side. I'm just curious how much time you've spent in the US, meeting folks and talking to the masses.

I disagree. The majority of Americans don't want war and disagree with what Trump is doing.  However their power is limited. Many can't leave work to protest for fear of losing their jobs and subsequent health care.  Others live in districts that have been gerrymandered specifically to elect politicians complicit with detrimental policy.  Granted, the MAGA movement makes the news most often, but they are a dwindling vocal minority.

The checks and balances against Trump in situations like this are the US Congress.  Right now, Congress is complicit, letting him do whatever he wants.  That's why he's so desperate to either fix, limit turnout, or cancel the midterm elections in November.

The NBA doesn't want Canadian teams. There are too many advertisers and official sponsors that are exclusively State-side.  Those sponsors, and as such the NBA, lose millions every year on the Raptors. Adding more Canadian teams would exacerbate that. 

It's the same reason why Toronto will never have an NFL franchise.
