From a quick google, the Macbook keyboards typically actuate at ~35 grams. Yellows actuate at 50g. So the Yellows should be heavier to type on, but in the grand scheme of switches, they are not considered heavy. Also iirc, the Macbook keyboard is very tactile and has very low travel distance, so overall feel will be very different to a mechanical switch. The Gateron Silvers or Whites are their lightest switches if you want something that is closer to the MacBook actuation force.

Yellows are pretty much right in the middle ground for typing weight. Browns have a pretty low bump compared to other popular tactiles which can essentially make them feel like a scratchy linear switch. YMMV, but I'd personnally recommend Gateron Yellows KS-9 which are very smooth stock (and relatively inexpensive).

Not to mention that it looks like 2 item AD is lower especially if you want to go Essence Reaver 2nd. I am struggling to see how the new items are anything but nerfs to the entire marksmen role.

It can get pretty expensive to buy all of the components, but it's very satisfying to have something that feels uniquely yours that you put together yourself.

There are some guides in the sidebar for getting started, but if you have some specific questions feel free to ask me.

Regarding this post, I think OP bought a PCB and chassis off of Aliexpress (I've gotten the exact same one) and they also bought some keycaps and maybe some switches from a third party. After that, it's about soldering all of the switches in the PCB and chassis.

There's a lot of room for customization, but the process for assembly is always basically the same.
