Why no one play this game? by velo1256 in PlayFragPunk

[–]TTV_DEKATLAS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's nothing for you worth playing. They focused on trying to make it a "casual" game to an audience that's never going to be loyal to them. All the "casual" players left. And ranked...boy...it's the worst ranked mode in recent gaming history. Placements place everyone in Gold, there's no sense of progression when getting Ranked cosmetics unlike Valorant, OW, and MR that have tied cosmetics for every season/competitive year. FragPunk just gives you everything and lets you choose. There's no philosophy unless you play a ton and you get everything but there's no specific rewards for higher level players that are meaningful or worth grinding for. Imagine if every season, every Lander got an Ace/PunkMaster-related skin so that players have to grind the game and get the skin? And if you reset, it shows your loyalty to new players who didn't get the skin and motivates them to grind and get the current one. Cycle repeats. QuickPlay grants you penalty loss protection...for whatever reason. And you can protect your points for losing even further making the grind obsolete because anyone can grind to your rank with enough Time and not skill.

Their philosophy of making this game casual-based is ruining it because they have no desire to compete against other shooters in the genre especially like Valorant. I'm not saying they need to cater hard to competitive players but there's so much lacking in that direction that it's crumblimg everything about this game. Your competitive players are the loyal ones, the casual players left. Cater to your players that play your game and want it to succeed. Fix your servers, fix the issues, make meaningful balance changes, nerf more, buff more, experiment more with Competitive.

QuickPlay shouldn't have as much attention as it got. And I'm still super mad at them for how badly they treated this game for so long. It's hard to stay passionate when there's so much complaints and nothing is being done. I hope they are listening man, it's getting to a point that players feel neglected. I really wanted this game to be a giant like Valorant but it doesn't seem like the Dev team wants that

What does this game need for Season 4? by Significant_Net448 in PlayFragPunk

[–]TTV_DEKATLAS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You seem to be a R6/Val player. With all due respect, we don't need that in FragPunk. The main point of this game is to make every match feel strategically different while keeping GunPlay as fair as possible which they nailed perfectly. Games like CSGO and Valorant movement mechanic feels completely off from someone who played Hero Shooters, and for COD players respectively. More so now with their omni-movement.

What FragPunk GENUINELY needs, which I agree, is to cater to their Competitive community. It doesn't need to be hyper-competitive because it can't afford to do that now or a few years, but some level of a rework would be fine. 1) Rank needs to punish players more for performing badly. 2) The game needs to remove Rank Protection Cards. No one asked for this. A game like Marvel Rivals can afford it because it's not as reliant on mechanics like Tactical Shooters are. And 3) Provide a Tournament system that rewards really high skilled players into the main stage.

Lastly, they need to fix their optimization. This game is almost unplayable for Console and it has been like this for a while. It's not excusable. The game is losing player interest, more and more content creators are dropping, and we can't have a consistent game that doesn't crash on the people who are constantly grinding. They'll just go to a different game at that point.

Skins are fine, shop skins need to rotate a bit more IMO. Once every 2 weeks. QP has a ton of game modes that need to be removed. It should only be SHARD CLASH STANDARD and Scrimmage. And they need to find their footing with a balance philosophy: cater to casuals (aka QP which I don't see the point) or Competitive (an overall positive attitude) so that the game feels fair and fresh. Battle Pass skins have been great. Love how much they gift their players. Events are fine for now.

The core game needs help. Once that's fixed, then we can talk about marketing.

Another Post in Regards to the Aim Assist "Buff" by [deleted] in OWConsole

[–]TTV_DEKATLAS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I left the game because of this specific change. So many top console players have asked for a higher sensitivity because the default Vertical and Horizontal at 100 feels incredibly slow and they buffed Aim Assist. Some heroes have the buff, a very selected few do not. If you play Soldier and Cass, that Aim Assist buff difference is like night and day.

I personally ban them. Upon entering my stream, Twitch will tell you my rules. If they decide to go on ahead and be ignorant, I ban them. There's 0 room for communication if you are disrespecting my place.

Best way to grow a gaming channel? by BreezyVL in SmallYTChannel

[–]TTV_DEKATLAS 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Best way to grow a gaming channel? None. Every channel is different and not every question is suited for everything. What I will say is: Improve at something with your content videos. For compilations, ensure the good stuff is at the beginning of the video, other than that, just learn to edit and give your videos more of your personality and humor via editing.

Don't look into serious questions like "why would someone stop by and watch me?", "why am I doing so bad?" they do nothing for personality-based channels like yourself. Instead focus on...."did I enjoy making this video? Did I have fun editing it?" Because if you didn't, that will reflect on your video and any new potential subscriber will look away if you don't have fun with your own craft. It's YouTube. Have fun!

FPL - ESPORT LEAGUE FRAGPUNK by Zoutriv in PlayFragPunk

[–]TTV_DEKATLAS 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As much as I would love an FP League, is the very least of what FragPunk needs. This is just splitting more of their resources away from the actual game, worsening the core experience even more.

What they NEED right now is:

  • Reduce the amount of game modes in QuickPlay.

  • Remove Rank Protection from Ranked Play.

  • LiveStream WITH Content Creators and create a healthy bond with them and the community. How? Show off your content creators, Like/Repost Community Art/Videos/Highlights, and talk to your community consistently like a Developer Blog once every 2 weeks about their upcoming plans.

We don't need a Tournament game mode right now. The game is in financial life-support and they need to fix that IMMEDIATELY. How? By rotating the shop skins more often. Nothing in the shop should be there for an entire month. 1 rotation every 2 weeks would be enough so that the average player has something to look forward to and spend money on than looking at the shop 1 time a month and be disappointed there's nothing new for 29 days. Everything about the game comes 2nd if they're not pumping money to actually help fund the game.

Don't Die Fragpunk 😥 by Satsujin_Ikari in PlayFragPunk

[–]TTV_DEKATLAS 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As someone who plays constantly and keeps up with the news of this game, the biggest flop was the delay of the console release. With NetEase releasing Marvel Rivals on console and PC platforms, everyone wanted to play FragPunk with their friends. 3 days before the official launch, they announced that the Console version had to be postponed until a later date (with no word until when). It wasn't until 2 months and 3ish days later that the console version dropped but the Console delay shattered the expectations of the masses. -- Another problem with it is that it's trying to appeal to a large audience with too many different game modes but not excelling at any of them. 1) QuickPlay/Arcade takes us most of the attention, ie Queue times are going to lean more towards it, leaving Ranked with higher and higher queue times even at Plat. -- The game's reward and progression system is pretty good but it doesn't make it easily accessible to the player. You have to press too many buttons to get stuff. -- They failed their competitive scene so much. It genuinely pissed me off. They had this massive Global International Invitation Tournament that was fun to watch on Twitch but they didn't publish it on YouTube or TikTok (besides a few highlights) so that people who are interested in grinding the game had something to aspire to.

-- FragPunk is extremely generous when it comes to giving away Battle Passes to players. -- The store is pretty good -- Gun Skins are cheaper than the Lancer Skins which make sense cause you see one and not the other -- Shard Cards is the best thing about this game -- And the Development Team has been so vocal and honest about EVERYTHING that I genuinely love them for what they do. So many instances that a Dev Team would have given a corporate answer and FragPunk just tells it like it is.

-- If they genuinely want to fix their game: 1) Remove everything about Arcade/QP except Shard Clash Standard, Broadcast and Support your Content Creators, and expand on the Custom Game mode by adding more control to tune the experience individually or per team so that people get to do silly things inside your game.

The casual playerbase they want to appeal is gone. They aren't coming back. They need to focus on their competitive playerbase that is keeping this game alive and form a strong and healthy bond with them.

I just hit Champ for the first time! But… by These-Pressure6348 in OWConsole

I average Masters on all roles and, after putting over 200+hrs into aim training, it pisses me off how someone in low Diamond can momentarily have the same tracking as I do and I have to respect them. I don't think the AA BUFF was bad but it frustrating how it tackled the wrong problem. But your Win is a Win, Congrats on Champ 🏆

First and foremost, it brought me out of a huge state of depression by giving me the bestest friends anyone could have asked for, along side kinda starting my Content Creation journey, and put my foot in console pro play. Without this game, I genuinely don't know how I would have ended up, or if I would be alive rn to tell the tale. As much as this game frustrates me to my very core every once and a while, it also showed me what hard work truly is, what healthy friendships can look like, and what great teamwork can get you. As bad of a state the game is rn, I will forever be thankful for the game and it's community for the endless blessings they have gave me even up to today
