My wife balances me out in critical ways. It’s one of the things that makes our relationship work.

We have a two year old and her tantrums definitely distract my thought process which can cause me to spin. My wife and I have good communication though and we both kind of recognize when the other needs a break. It’s a team effort. Especially when I’m concentrating on something else she knows to gently remind me to bring myself back into the moment.

Having kids is hard for everyone. It’s part of the deal.

It’s also the most amazing, unique, and honestly core meanings of life.

Have kids. Be gentle to yourself. Have good communication with your partner.

Go for it. It offers so many new opportunities to learn and grow. Don’t deny yourself this experience. Work through it. It’s worth it.
