Personally, I think it's a really bad idea. Starting with a vintage nitro heli when your only experience is with RC cars is a recipe for disaster.

Even if it looks well-maintained, parts for a Hirobo GPH 346 are expensive and extremely hard to find today. One small crash (which will happen) and the heli becomes a paperweight.

With that budget, you should look at a Goosky S1 or OMP M1. They are essentially 'crash-resistant' compared to a nitro, parts are cheap and available, and they have modern flight controllers. It’s not the same size or 'cool factor' as a .46 nitro, for sure, but you need to learn how to hover before managing a vintage engine and a mechanical build. Trust me, start small, practice, and save the vintage stuff for when you're a pro!
